A Philadelphia man was charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting that occurred during what was supposed to be the sale of a dirt bike listed on Craigslist, police said Tuesday.

Quasym Finch, 22, of the 7600 block of Ardleigh Street in Chestnut Hill, was arrested Saturday and also charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and related offenses.

On the afternoon of April 25 in the 3700 block of North Fifth Street in Hunting Park, two men, ages 32 and 31, had gathered to sell the dirt bike, which one of the men had listed for sale on Craigslist.

Finch attempted to start the dirt bike and pointed a gun at one of the men, police said. A struggle ensued, and a man with Finch yelled, "Shoot him," police said.

Finch fired once, striking the 31-year-old man in the chest, police said. Finch and his alleged accomplice then fled on the dirt bike, police said.

The victim was critically wounded but survived.

Finch has prior convictions for drug possession, disorderly conduct, fleeing from police, and recklessly endangering another person.
