LONGTIME ASSISTANT coach Joe O'Hara will serve as Germantown Academy's interim varsity baseball coach for the 2015 season, ahtletic director Jim Fenerty confirmed in a release yesterday.

O'Hara had served as the Patriots' pitching coach under former coach Tyler Stampone for the past 3 years.

As a baseball coach at George Washington High, O'Hara won six Public League championships and was named coach of the year four times.

"Joe has served our student-athletes well as an assistant coach in the baseball program," Fenerty said in the statement. "I am pleased that he will take on this interim role as we look for a new head coach."

O'Hara was also a part-time instructor at the Ambler Sports Academy and a substitute teacher in the Philadelphia School District. For 3 years, he was co-owner of the All-American Baseball Academy, where he was head pitching instructor and assisted students in college recruiting.
