Pa. Boys: Sat. Pa. boys: Radnor, Avon Grove reach semis

Radnor will advance to the state boys' lacrosse semifinals after an impressive offensive showing Saturday.

Nine Red Raiders scored in a 14-3 victory over Lewisburg in the PIAA quarterfinals at Cumberland Valley.

Drew Ryan netted a hat trick to give Radnor an 11-0 lead entering the second half and finished with two assists.

Owen Scheuerle, Mike Thompson, and Jack Wilson each put two in the back of Lewisburg's net. Clayton Proctor added a goal and two assists.

Tom Meyers gave Radnor possession of the ball for most of the game, finishing 13 for 15 on faceoffs. Goalie Alex Anderson earned the victory, recording three saves.

Radnor will play Avon Grove in the PIAA semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at West Chester Henderson.

In other quarterfinals:

Avon Grove 17, Wilson-West Lawn 11 - Stephen Cyron led the offense for Avon Grove at Harriton. The junior netted a team-high five goals for the Red Devils and had two assists.

Tanner Peck scored four goals and added a pair of assists. Ryan Cook netted three goals.

Will Schreiner picked up the win with 11 saves in net.

PIAA Class AAA Boys' Volleyball Quarterfinals

Central Bucks West will head to the state semifinals after a 3-0 win over Parkland at Souderton. The Bucks won by 25-22, 25-23, 27-25.
