Hunter out at 1210?
TalkRadio 1210 AM listeners on Sunday night may have heard that Dr. Mazz & Rick Grimaldi will move their show up to 8 p.m. So what becomes of Walt Hunter's "Crime Guy" show? Hunter didn't return an email for comment, but a rep from 1210 said the Dr. Mazz & Rick show will run from 8 to 11 p.m., and the 11 p.m.-to-1 a.m. slot will be used to audition new talent. Hunter responded to well-wishers on Twitter, saying that he would also miss his radio family. Of course, you can always catch Hunter in his day job as a reporter at CBS3.
It was a 'Good Day'
Reunited and it feels so good. Former "Good Day Philadelphia" anchor Sheinelle Jones got quite the shock on Friday when she was honored at Anthony Henderson's One Night Only fundraiser at the Marriott. As she was posing for pics with other honorees - including the Inquirer's Elizabeth Wellington and radio personality MoShay LaRen - she was surprised by former Fox 29 co-host Mike Jerrick, who wanted Jones to have her moment before he was brought up on stage and they got some together time.
"Good Day Philadelphia" is still anchorless since the beloved Jones left in late March to take care of her family, but other changes have already been made in the mornings, like moving Kerry Barrett to the early hours.
D.A. Williams is 'Beautiful'
District Attorney Seth Williams will be honored by the Being Beautiful Foundation. He will receive the foundation's inaugural Pinnacle Award, an award that will be given out annually to former foster kids now advocating on their behalf.
The event will take place Thursday, hosted by Eagles tight end Brent Celek at his Old City eatery, Prime Stache (110 Chestnut St.). Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg and Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin are also scheduled to help fete Williams.
The $250 tickets can be purchased by calling 800-351-2080 or online at beingbeautiful foundation.org. Proceeds go to benefit the foundation, which gives guidance and support to foster children.
