Four Penn State players, including wide receiver Richy Anderson, have left the football program and are no longer on the roster, a team spokesman confirmed Friday.
The spokesman said Anderson and walk-on quarterback Austin Whipple plan to transfer. He said wide receiver Jonathan Warner and offensive lineman Anthony Alosi will remain at Penn State.
Alosi, who played his high school ball at Cherokee in South Jersey, is on schedule to graduate in August.
"We thank them for their contributions to the program and wish them well in their future academic and athletic endeavors," Penn State coach James Franklin said in a statement.
