ORLANDO - Michael Carter-Williams says his rehabilitation is going better than expected.
"I'm back to shooting," said the 76ers point guard, who had surgery May 6 to repair the labrum of his right shoulder. "I have full extension and everything. So I'm ahead of schedule."
That's good for Sixers fans, who were fearful that trade rumors involving Carter-Williams were accurate.
General manager Sam Hinkie said Tuesday that the Sixers were committed to the reigning rookie of the year.
"It feels great," Carter-Williams, 22, said of the Sixers' commitment. "I've been with Sam and this team the whole time, regardless of the rumors and who said what. We stayed in communications. It's always been the same."
