CHARLIE MANUEL, one of two men to manage the Phillies to a World Series championship, will be inducted onto the team's Wall of Fame during Alumni Weekend. Manuel will be honored on Aug. 9, before the Phillies-Mets game.

Manuel managed the Phillies from 2005 to '13. He won five NL East Division titles and led the 2008 Phillies to the World Series title, the team's first since 1980. Manuel and the Phillies returned to the World Series in 2009, when they lost to the Yankees.

In 9 years as Philies manager, Manuel was 780-636, for a .551 percentage. He also managed the Indians for three seasons. His career managerial record is 1,000-826 (.548).

On Aug. 8, Roy Halladay will throw out the first pitch in his first appearance at Citizens Bank Park since he retired after last season. Fans will receive a Halladay bobble figurine that night, when the Phillies play the Mets.

Expected to attend Manuel's induction are Phillies Wall of Famers Jim Bunning (inducted in 1984), Steve Carlton (1989), Mike Schmidt (1990), Larry Bowa (1991), Curt Simmons (1993), Dick Allen (1994), Greg Luzinski (1998), Garry Maddox (2001), Tony Taylor (2002), Bob Boone (2005), Dallas Green (2006), Juan Samuel (2008), Darren Daulton (2010), John Kruk (2011) and Mike Lieberthal (2012).
