EAGLES SAFETY Keelan Johnson was arrested last Saturday for an altercation with police in a bar, according to KTAR, an Arizona news radio station.

Johnson, 24, who signed with the Eagles last season after the Dolphins cut him, was charged with assaulting a police officer, passively resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to KTAR. Johnson played two games for the Eagles last season.

The Eagles released the following statement: "We are disappointed to learn of the arrest of Keelan Johnson this past weekend in Arizona. We are still trying to learn all of the facts that led to his arrest. At this point, it's a pending legal matter and therefore, we will have no further comment."

According to the police report, Johnson was standing in front of a bar in Tempe at 2 a.m. after an acquaintance was involved in a fight. As police detained Johnson's acquaintance, Johnson shouted at officers, according to police. Johnson was told to step back by the police and when an officer tried to move him back, Johnson shoved the officer and a scuffle ensued, according to the report. The report also said Johnson appeared to be intoxicated.
