Flyers to be on national TV 16 times this season

THE FLYERS will be on national TV 16 times this season.

The NHL and NBC announced yesterday the network's national broadcast schedule, with the Flyers set to be on the NBC Sports Network 13 times and twice on NBC.

The season opener will be a part of a doubleheader on NBCSN when the Flyers face the Boston Bruins on Oct. 8. The Flyers will be featured on NBCSN's "Wednesday Night Rivalry" broadcast seven times.

On Friday, Nov. 28, NBC will televise the Flyers' the annual Black Friday matinee, which will be against the Rangers.

The game on Sunday, April 5, against the Bruins will be on one of the two networks.
