Richard Schmid, 65, of Cinnaminson, a member of the board of directors of Pemberton Fabricators Inc. in Rancocas, died of lung cancer Saturday, July 26, at home.
"He was extremely dedicated, very loyal to the company," said Robert Murnane, president of the firm.
Mr. Schmid had been a board member for the last five years, Murnane said, and had been production control and computer systems manager since he joined the firm 19 years ago.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Schmid graduated from Father Judge High School in 1967 and served as a medic in the Army Reserve until 1973.
After years of night classes, he earned a bachelor's degree in business at La Salle University, his wife Ruth said .
