Soul lineman gets tryout with Cowboys

Posted: August 08, 2014

THE SOUL'S season is over, but offensive lineman Wayne Tribue continues to play on.

Tribue's latest NFL stop is with the Dallas Cowboys, who signed the 6-3, 329-pounder to a free-agent deal on Monday. Tribue, a Temple product, played 15 games for the Soul this year. He left twice during the Soul's season; once for a CFL tryout in June and most recently the Chicago Bears brought him in for a look.

Tribue, 24, was born in Philadelphia but went to high school in York. He is listed as the third-string right guard for the Cowboys behind starter Zack Martin and John Wetzel.

Martin is a rookie out of Notre Dame whom the Cowboys selected with the 16th pick.
