IGM partners up for school-supply drive

INTERSTATE General Media, the owner of the Daily News, Inquirer and Philly.com, has teamed up with Global Citizen, Uber and 900 AM-WURD to launch a two-week school-supply donation drive, which started yesterday.

Citizens can drop off donations at the locations listed below through Sept. 7:

* Whole Foods Market, Callowhill

2001 Pennsylvania Ave.

8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily

* Whole Foods Market, South Street

929 South St.

8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily

* HipCityVeg, University City

214 S. 40th St.

10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily

* The Shops at the Bellevue

200 S. Broad St.

11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily

* 900AM-WURD

1341 N. Delaware Ave.,

Suite 300

9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday to Friday

Schuylkill Printing Plant

800 River Road, Route 23

Conshohocken

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday to Friday

On Sept. 8, Uber will pick up the donations from each location and bring them to IGM's Schuylkill Printing Plant, where they will be sorted and organized for distribution. On Sept. 15, the supplies will be delivered to schools considered to be most in need by the School District of Philadelphia.

Requested school supplies include: No. 2 pencils, ballpoint pens, copy paper, construction paper, colored paper, calculators, protractors, dry erasers, Scotch tape, masking tape, crayons, markers, highlighters, rulers, children's scissors, bottles of glue, glue sticks, tissues and hand sanitizer.
