SOME THINGS never change. Most importantly for the Wayans brothers , it's sibling pranks. Marlon , Shawn , Damon and Keenen Ivory Wayans will play the Tower Theater on Saturday, each performing his own stand-up set. Their travels together have opened them up to continuous sibling ribbing. Keenen, the elder statesman of the famous clan, remembered that when he was a kid, Shawn and Marlon would insist on hanging out with him. When he rebuffed his younger brothers, they would douse his towel in vinegar while he was showering.

SO HOW MANY Heisman Trophy voters knew who Johnny Manziel was at this time a year ago? Hey, you could say the same thing about Cam Newton in 2010. And 2 years ago, how many really had Robert Griffin III on their radar? Seriously, nobody from Baylor is supposed to win this thing. Kind of makes you wonder what kind of surprise candidate the most-hyped race in sports might bring us this time. Or maybe it'll just come down to one or two of the projected suspects, like it generally used to. It can be fragile.

Steve Spurrier's plan to use two quarterbacks in the Outback Bowl worked so well that Dylan Thompson and Connor Shaw both earned game balls in Tampa, Fla. That's a first for the Head Ball Coach, who has a well-known penchant for benching struggling QBs. Except in this case, the Gamecocks' winningest coach used his talented pair of passers by design. Shaw began Tuesday's 33-28 victory over Michigan (8-5) with a 56-yard touchdown pass to Damiere Byrd. Thompson closed it out by throwing a 32-yard TD strike to Bruce Ellington in the final minute.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Aaron Murray wanted nothing more this week than to send Georgia's senior class out with a game to remember. The junior quarterback provided a record-setting performance to make it a reality. Murray threw five touchdown passes to set a Georgia bowl record, including two in the fourth quarter, as the sixth-ranked Bulldogs beat No. 23 Nebraska, 45-31, in the Capital One Bowl on Tuesday. Murray shook off a pair of first-half interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and passed for 427 yards - also a Bulldogs bowl record - against the nation's top-ranked passing defense.
