Anaheim Ducks left winger Chris Kunitz continues to skate and work out, he just isn't ready to play in the Stanley Cup finals. Kunitz had surgery in mid-May after he broke a bone in his right hand during Game 1 of the Western Conference finals at Detroit. He was all but ruled out for the rest of the playoffs, but his presence still leaves the door open that he might be able to help Anaheim at some point against the Ottawa Senators. "I haven't talked to the doctors, but I think it's doubtful because of the situation with his hand," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said yesterday on the eve of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals tonight in Ottawa.

ANAHEIM, Calif. - After sitting out 10 games with a left high-ankle sprain, Zac Rinaldo returned to the Flyers lineup Thursday night against the team with the NHL's best record, the Anaheim Ducks. "I'm so excited; it's been too long. Three weeks is too long for me," the sometimes-frenetic winger said after the team's morning skate at the Honda Center. The original prognosis was that Rinaldo would be out six weeks. He was on a fourth line Thursday that had a new wrinkle: Michael Raffl, who has been used at left wing, played center for the first time in his NHL career.

Anaheim general manager Bob Murray opened training camp by expressing his strong desire to re-sign Perry, the goal-scoring former NHL MVP, and Getzlaf, the Ducks' captain and top playmaker.
