I SAT THERE watching the television screen as Anthony Weiner squirmed before the microphones for the second time in two years, and realized that this was a déjà vu moment. At first I thought it was because the former congressman and aspiring mayoral candidate was, once again, apologizing for tweeting and cheating without really meeting. And then I took one look at Weiner's wife and realized that this had absolutely nothing to do with the fellow. Huma Abedin might have creamy olive skin, beautiful brown eyes and long dark hair, but you don't need to put her in a pantsuit and slap a headband on her tresses to realize that we are now in the presence of Hillary Clinton, version 2.1. We all remember the pre-Senate, pre-State Department Hillary who inspired both awe and revulsion for her assault on the East Wing.

New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner has admitted sending inappropriate photos and texts to women online even after the exposure of that behavior forced his resignation from Congress two years ago. The Daily News asked Sexcetera columnists Steve & Mia what they make of Weiner's kinky obsession and what advice they would give to Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin. Steve: Take away his cellphone. Mia: Nah, that's too easy. A creep like Weiner probably has a couple of phones tucked away.

OH, BALLS! There's a decent chance that those words entered the mind of New York congressman Anthony Weiner yesterday afternoon as he lost his grip on an embarrassing Twitter-related scandal that threatens to ruin his career. The married pol admitted at a news conference that he lied last month when he claimed that someone hacked into his Twitter account and sent a photo of a man's bulging crotch to a college student in Seattle. "To be clear, the picture was of me and I sent it," he said, ending 10 days of vague answers to questions about the bulge.

It seems DeSean Jackson is having better luck catching ladies than footballs. On consecutive nights, Jackson was seen out with video vixen Esther Baxter and R&B singer Mya . On Sunday night Baxter, who's been seen in hip-hop and R&B videos, in a few movies and as a model for King and other mags, was seen looking quite cozy with DeSean Jackson at the Eagles wide receiver's birthday party at G Lounge (111 S....

NEW YORK - Anthony Weiner said yesterday that he'd traded racy messages with as many as three women since similar sexting forced him out of Congress. As he tried to tamp down questions about his behavior, a poll suggested the new disclosures were taking a toll on his mayoral prospects. Weiner, the former congressman who resigned in 2011 after the first batch of sexts surfaced, is running for New York mayor and had been near the top of most polls of the Democratic primary race until the latest furor over his behavior began this week when gossip website The Dirty posted explicit messages that a woman said she and Weiner sent each other starting in July 2012.

WASHINGTON - House Democrats are counting on growing pressure from Rep. Anthony Weiner's colleagues, a suggestion from the president, and the return of Weiner's pregnant wife from an overseas trip to persuade him to resign over a sexting scandal in which he sent lewd photos of himself and messages to several women. The House's top Republican, Speaker John A. Boehner, on Tuesday joined the chorus of Democrats calling for the New York Democrat to quit. House Democrats went behind closed doors for their regular party meeting, but they decided against taking action against Weiner in hopes that he would resign soon.

Nominally, New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner is running against City Council President Christine Quinn and several others for the Democratic nomination. More essentially, he is taking on the idea that our leaders are subject to any standards whatsoever. Finally, and fortunately, he appears to be losing both contests. A recent poll suggested that voters are at long last abandoning him - along with his own campaign manager, who quit this week. The seemingly one-of-a-kind "sexting" scandal that got Weiner kicked out of Congress two years ago engulfed him a second time last week, when it became clear that he had continued vigorously distributing dirty self-portraits across cyberspace well after he claimed to have begun his atonement.

How was Anthony Weiner so easily able to find such willing sexting partners? Even conceding that Weiner's pecs were pretty impressive when he took off his shirt, this is nevertheless the embodiment of the geeky guy we all grew up with who struggled with girls. Sure, his quick thinking and tart tongue probably earned him a few points with ladies, but not to a level that could account for the online action he seems to have scored. What's more, each of the women identified thus far is relatively young and attractive, at least according to the photos they themselves published online.

I wish I lived in New York, so I could vote for Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer. I want them around for a long, long time. Very long. Not that size matters. Theirs, anyway. I don't care what they're running for, just so they win. I want them in the TV news all the time. I need something good to watch, now that the royal baby is all grown up. In fact, I think that we need more wieners in Washington. I bet the country would run a lot better if our politicians spent less time in Congress and more time in the bathroom taking pictures of themselves in their underwear.

NEW YORK - When Huma Abedin first started getting media attention years ago, some people couldn't help but wonder what this beautiful, ambitious woman with high-fashion sense and a world-class Rolodex saw in Anthony Weiner. That's a question New Yorkers might be asking themselves again after revelations that Weiner, now a candidate for mayor of New York, didn't immediately give up his habit of sending sexual pictures and messages to women after his humiliating resignation from Congress in 2011.

NEW YORK - Anthony Weiner said Thursday that he'd traded racy messages with as many as three women since similar sexting forced him out of Congress. But as he tried to tamp down questions about his behavior, a poll suggested the new disclosures were taking a toll on his mayoral prospects. Facing a third day of renewed queries and criticism of his conduct as he continued campaigning, the married Democrat also said he supposed he'd had sexually charged exchanges with a total of six to 10 women; he'd previously capped that number at six. Weiner, the congressman who resigned in 2011 after the first batch of sexts surfaced, is running for New York mayor and had been near the top of most polls of the Democratic primary race until the latest furor over his behavior began this week when the gossip website The Dirty posted explicit messages that a woman said she and Weiner sent each other starting in July 2012.

NEW YORK - Anthony Weiner pressed ahead with his bid for mayor Wednesday despite growing calls for him to drop out over a new sexting scandal, saying the campaign is too important to abandon over "embarrassing personal things" becoming public. Rivals, newspaper editorial pages, and at least one former New York congressional colleague urged the Democrat to quit the race a day after he acknowledged exchanging raunchy messages and photos online even after the same sort of behavior destroyed his congressional career two years ago. "I think he should pull out of the race.

NEW YORK - Anthony Weiner found himself caught in another sexting scandal Tuesday like the one that destroyed his congressional career, but stood side-by-side with his wife to say he won't drop out of the race for mayor of New York. "This is entirely behind me," Weiner said at a news conference, hours after the gossip website The Dirty posted text messages and a crotch shot that it said the former congressman exchanged with a woman after he left office. Weiner admitted sending a woman sexually explicit photos and messages and acknowledged the activity took place as recently as last summer, more than a year after he resigned from the House for the same sort of behavior with at least a half-dozen women.
