From 1981 to 1986 you didn't have to live in Hollywood to see stars. Thanks to Dancin' on Air, local streets teemed with TV personalities, some of whom you may catch tonight at the DOA Reunion at Adelphia in Deptford. Broadcast live on Mix 95.7, the DOA Reunion will be DJ'd by Frank Cerami and include clips and interviews from the show. It's been five years since the last get-together of the popular regional dance show. Jade Starling and Frankie "Double Dutch Bus" Smith appeared at that 1999 event.

You might say that Phil Ferrara Jr., 15, was made for TV. Consider this. Last year, he was just another freshman at George Washington High School, a shy, overweight boy with mousy brown hair and an undistinguished wardrobe. Today, thanks to the miracle of cable television, Phil Ferrara - 40 pounds slimmer with frosted blond bangs and a collection of snazzy outfits that he made himself - is a budding fashion designer, a dynamite dancer and a national star. After only six months of regular appearances on the locally produced teen dance show Dancin' on Air and its nationally telecast cable spinoff, Dance Party USA, fame has come to Phil Ferrara.

Before this week, I couldn't have told you the difference between Dancin' on Air and Dancing With the Stars . For all my boomer mind knew, Dancin' on Air could have easily been a millennial remix of Lionel Richie's "Dancing on the Ceiling," or Martha and the Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street. " But then my Facebook feed blew up with "likes" from friends, directing me to the Dancin' on Air marathon page and RSVPs to the Dancin' on Air "watch party. " PHL17 is doing a four-hour 30th anniversary rebroadcast of the hallowed '80s dance program from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday and again from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The watch party starts at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Piazza at Schmidts in Northern Liberties.

IS BRADLEY COOPER the "Sexiest Man Alive"? We hear People magazine is about to shoot the Rydal-raised Germantown Academy grad for its "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. Whether he is the sexiest man alive, or just a runner-up remains to be seen, but the actor, here shooting "The Silver Linings Playbook" certainly appears to be a contender. People says it can neither confirm nor deny any participants until the issue is out Nov. 18. Cooper's publicist says he has a photo shoot in town this weekend, but it's for another publication to promote the DVD release of "The Hangover 2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY this Saturday to . . . Princess! Not the most international celeb on this list, but to 30- and 40-something locals, Heather Day Slawek of "Dancin' on Air" and "Dance Party U.S.A. " is a super-duper star. In the '80s, she dominated the dance floor, obsessed over Prince and wore a single lavender teardrop beneath one eye. Today, she's a suburban mom and owner of Pole Awakenings Fitness centers. Her next year will be one of discovery, friendships and success - much like her first 40. Today, retired newsguy Marc Howard anchors 75, and sports-radio big mouth Anthony Gargano wings 44. Valentine babies include former weather dude Dave Roberts, a sunny 74; magician Teller, a quiet 64; and both "Fresh Air's" Terry Gross, 61, and her colleague, "Radio Times' " Marty Moss-Coane, 63. Wednesday, Flyer Jaromir Jagr hits 40. - Lauren McCutcheon

She had chiropractic, acupuncture and water-therapy treatments over the years and last week fell very ill, Robert said.

SHE (STILL) DON'T give a damn 'bout her bad reputation, but looks like celebrated '80s guitar goddess Joan Jett will always love rock 'n' roll - even when she turns 53 this Thursday. Jett, a/k/a Joan Marie Larkin, spent her first nine years on the Main Line. (Wonder what her hair looked like then, and whether leather pants came in her size?) Now a New Yorker, she remains America's rebellion-streaked everywoman, with no plans to quit stomping stages. What do the planets plan for punk's godmother?

The gay marriage debate is settled, once and for all, America! Brad Pitt , 47, has spoken. "It is each American's constitutional right to marry the person they love, no matter what state they inhabit," Pitt tells People after the recent legalization of same-sex marriage in New York state. Yo, Daniel, what about Satsuki? Christopher Mitchell , for one, is heartbroken by the shocking news that Daniel Craig , 43, and Rachel Weisz , 41, have tied the ultimate knot in an ultimately covert, super-secret ceremony.

The stars have aligned for Dancing With the Stars . Anna Demidova, who won the Season 8 professionals' competition, will team with Philadelphia favorite - not! - Michael Irvin in the new season of Dancing , which begins Sept. 21. DWTS fans, especially those in Philadelphia, may remember how Eagles fans cheered when then-Dallas Cowboys star receiver Irvin lay motionless on the Veterans Stadium turf with a neck injury 10 years ago. He's all better now and raring to go with his hot partner, who has won more dancing championships than Dallas and the Eagles and even the Steelers, put together, have won Super Bowls.
