EAGLES RUNNING back LeSean McCoy and left tackle Jason Peters were named to the All-NFL team by Pro Football Weekly /Professional Football Writers of America. Right guard Danny Watkins, the Eagles' first-round pick, was named to the all-rookie team. McCoy and Peters also were named to the Pro Bowl and will be in Hawaii for the Jan. 28 game. The organizations named Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as its most valuable player and San Francisco's Jim Harbaugh as coach of the year.

He came, he saw, he left without a contract. Demetrius Bell was still a free agent when he departed Philadelphia after visiting with the Eagles over the weekend. The left tackle has met with four teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers, since the start of free agency last month. But he remains on the market even though the Eagles were scrambling to find a starting left tackle after Jason Peters suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon last week.

Here are some things to expect at Eagles camp on Thursday: Workouts are closed to fans on Thursday and Friday, so don't head to Lehigh until Saturday's 8:05 a.m. practice and 2:45 p.m. walk-through. All players under contract are required to be at camp Thursday, so keep an eye on www.philly.com to learn whether disgruntled wide receiver DeSean Jackson and first-round draft pick Danny Watkins appear. Jackson may not show up without a new contract, and Watkins needs to sign one to make his Eagles debut.

LANDOVER, Md. - The Eagles are seven points from being the only winless team in the NFL. Zero-and-10. There is a very good argument that, on this day, they are the worst team in the NFL. It got stronger Sunday. Now 3-7, having lost six in a row, the Eagles have one neighbor in the NFC: the Panthers and Rams. After they visit next Monday night, Cam and family might be movin' on up. The Panthers, like the similarly hapless Jaguars, Browns and Chiefs, appear to be progressing.

THE EAGLES started their voluntary offseason strength and conditioning program on April 1, which, as luck would have it, happened to be just 2 days after Danny Watkins got married. If Andy Reid, who selected Watkins with the 23rd overall pick in the draft 2 years ago, still was the Eagles' head coach, and if Watkins had lived up to first-round expectations the last two seasons, he almost certainly would've headed to Aruba rather than South Philadelphia. But Reid was canned on Dec. 31 and Watkins, who started just six games last season, is perilously close to joining the Eagles' long, long list of first-round draft busts.

Lane Johnson told a big, ol' Texas tale when he came to town on Friday to meet and greet in his first official day as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. "Just trying to add some flavor to the supper," Johnson would say later, after admitting that his history as a wrestler of black bears in East Texas was a yarn he spun for the telling. He insisted that he has indeed chased down and tackled wild pigs - heck, even Kevin Kolb could do that - but the stuff about tangling with bears, mindful of the claws at all times, well, that didn't really happen.

Last March, after extending Todd Herremans' contract and re-signing Evan Mathis, the Eagles said they felt as confident about their offensive line as any other position group. With the new contracts, they had all five of their starters locked up at least through 2014. Considering the progression the line had made by the end of the 2011 season, that was seen as a positive. But, less than two weeks after the ink was dry on Mathis' five-year deal, all-pro left tackle Jason Peters ruptured the Achilles tendon in his right foot and was done for the season.

Up-Down Drill Andy Reid A lot will be written about how this player did this wrong and that player did that wrong, but the Eagles' 3-3 start rests solely on the head coach's shoulders. Reid was terrible on Sunday. A .500 record going forward, needless to say, won't save his job. Nnamdi Asomugha For more than three quarters, Asomugha and others kept Calvin Johnson in check. But games go four quarters - more than four in this case. "Megatron" found his rhythm late, but most of it wasn't at Asomugha's expense.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Negotiations between the Eagles and top draft pick Danny Watkins have hit a wall. Eagles officials have become frustrated with the pace of talks with agent Eric Metz, while Metz's group points to their negotiating a deal for No. 9 pick tackle Tyron Smith as evidence that they can get a deal done. When Joe Panos, who works with Metz, was asked about the slow pace, he pointed out that negotiations for Smith – who was drafted by the Cowboys – "went in a very timely matter, and he was signed and in camp by Thursday.

Eagles center Dallas Reynolds returned to practice on Friday, an encouraging sign for his readiness to play Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Reynolds is listed as questionable after missing the previous two practices with a sprained ankle. Evan Mathis prepared to start at center. "We'll just see how he does here in the next few hours after practice," coach Andy Reid said on Friday. If Reynolds plays, Danny Watkins would again be the odd man out. The 2011 first-round pick has been practicing at left guard this week in case Mathis must play center.
