ARLINGTON, Texas - Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and center Dallas Reynolds both started Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys despite being listed as questionable. Cox missed practice Wednesday because of a bruised tailbone and was absent Thursday and Friday because of a death in his family. Cox rejoined the team in North Texas on Saturday. He left the game in the second quarter after he reinjured his tailbone. Cox was taken to the locker room for examination but started the second half.

Michael Vick went to the Eagles' facility for treatment for his concussion Thursday before returning home. The quarterback is still recovering from the significant injury that is expected to sideline him this week and potentially longer. "He is feeling a little bit better day-to-day," coach Andy Reid said. Reid did not sign a third quarterback because he thinks the Eagles are fine with Nick Foles and Trent Edwards. Reid would not say whether that confidence suggests Vick might not have a prolonged absence.

NEW ORLEANS - Todd Herremans left Monday night's game against the Saints in the second quarter with an injury in the area of his right ankle. Herremans, the Eagles' most experienced offensive lineman, was helped off the field after a run by LeSean McCoy and quickly taken into the locker room. He was said to have a tendon strain and will have an MRI exam Tuesday morning. Without Herremans, the Eagles inserted Demetress Bell at right tackle. Herremans is the fourth starting lineman from last season to be sidelined this year.

LANDOVER, Md. - LeSean McCoy sustained a concussion in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter of the Eagles' 31-6 loss to the Redskins on Sunday. The Eagles trailed by 25 points after the two-minute warning when a running play was called for McCoy. After the game, coach Andy Reid defended keeping McCoy in the game despite the lopsided score. "We were trying to catch up and win the game," Reid said. McCoy appeared woozy in the locker room. There likely will be more information on his status on Monday.

Here's Marcus Hayes' take on Lane Johnson from Thursday's Daily News. NEW YORK - When Chelsea Goodman met Lane Johnson 4 years ago, she could not have known all that she would bring to their relationship. A high jumper for the Oklahoma track team, Chelsea met Johnson when he transferred after a year of junior college. A big, strong athlete, Johnson, star prep quarterback in Texas, was not college QB material. He went to Oklahoma as a tight end. By the time their relationship blossomed, Johnson was a defensive end for the Sooners - just like her father, John Goodman, in the late 1970s, before a 5-year stint with the Steelers.

Linebacker Mychal Kendricks signed a four-year contract Monday, becoming the first Eagles draft pick in the fold this year. The remaining eight could have deals in time for the start of minicamp on Saturday, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said. "I don't think it's going to be a long process with most of the players," Roseman said. "I think the players want to get it done. They know that there isn't any incentive to waiting in terms of getting a different deal. " The new collective-bargaining agreement, which established a strict rookie wage scale, has essentially eliminated the need for negotiations.

Michael Vick underwent another Impact test Wednesday afternoon, but the Eagles did not reveal the results. The Eagles quarterback has failed to reach baseline in previous tests and will not be cleared to return from a Nov. 11 concussion until he passes. On Tuesday, coach Andy Reid said that Vick remained in Phase 4 of the Eagles' five-phase protocol, which involves football-related exercise and weightlifting. Along with passing the Impact test and clearing Phase 5, which involves light contact, Vick must be examined and cleared by a team doctor and an independent neurologist before he can play.

There will be expectations heaped on the shoulders of Lane Johnson, but they may come earlier than normal, even for a top-five draft pick, because of the position he plays. From 2006 to 2012, seven tackles were taken in the first five draft picks, and all six started in the season opener. The Eagles will most certainly want Johnson to start right away. But can he, considering how little he played on the offensive line in college? Asked after his first practice as an Eagle if he felt that he needed to start from Day 1, Johnson said Friday: "I just feel I have to kind of work every day and do my best, and I think if I do that then good things will happen.

WE ENVISIONED all sorts of complicated scenarios and harried phone calls in the NovaCare war room, but Chip Kelly said the evening was really pretty simple and sane. "Exactly as the draft went. We had the three OTs and Dion ," Kelly said, after telling reporters there were four players the Eagles entered the draft feeling they'd be comfortable taking fourth overall. Lane Johnson from Oklahoma, the former quarterback, former tight end, former defensive end, was generally considered the third-best offensive tackle in a draft where OTs were the stars, and he became the newest Eagle last night, taken with the team's highest draft pick since Donovan McNabb arrived second overall in 1999.
