Rick Osberg of Waynesborough Country Club won the $12,900 William Hyndman Open of the Philadelphia PGA by edging Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook Country Club on the first hole of a playoff yesterday at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. They had tied for first at 2-under-par 68 in the field of 191. Thirty-one of the players qualified for the Philadelphia Open.

Cedarbrook Country Club's Dave Roberts won the individual pro event with an even-par 71 in a field of 31 players at the Philadelphia PGA's Main Line Kiwanis Club Invitational at St. Davids yesterday. Jason Calhoun of Philadelphia Country Club led his pro-am foursome, including amateurs Ash Ahluwalia, George Luciani and John Kirk, to victory with a two-best-ball score of 22-under 55-65-120.

FORMER CBS3 anchor Alycia Lane gave birth to her first child, a little girl named Averie , this weekend. Lane is between on-air gigs at the moment, after a stint at KNBC in Los Angeles, where she currently dwells. Lane told me earlier this year that she'll restart the job hunt after she's settled in as a momma. "She's beyond adorable," Lane wrote to me in a message. "Totally in love!!!" Williams, Oates celebrated Brian Williams , one of the greatest heads of hair in all of broadcast news, will be feted by Temple University for something other than his cranial follicles.

Jeff LeFevre of Linwood Country Club won the season's fifth tournament of the Atlantic Winter Golf League with a 1-under-par 34-36-70 yesterday at the Pinelands Country Club. LeFevre prevailed in a field of 83. In a three-way tie for second place at 74 were Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook, Bill Cregar of Wedgwood and Brian Lake of Holly Hills. Stone Harbor Country Club pro John Appleget, who had a 76, scored a hole-in-one with a 3-iron shot on the 189-yard fifth.

John DiMarco of Laurel Falls Golf Club and Adz Kozlowski of Knickerbocker Driving Range teamed for a winning 12-under-par 132 in the Nicklaus pro-pro better-ball-of-partners tournament of the Philadelphia PGA yesterday at the Pocono Farms Country Club in Tobyhanna, Pa. After a 68 Monday, DiMarco and Kozlowski fired an 8-under-par 64 yesterday and moved up from fourth place. Jamie Shaffer of Woodcrest and Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook took second with a 10-under 134, moving up from ninth after the first round.

The Pro-Pro scramble tournament of the Philadelphia PGA had two winning combinations yesterday in a field of 186 players competing on two courses each for a purse of $2,500. The victors at Brandywine Country Club with a 10-under-par 30-31-61 were assistant pros Jamie Shaffer of Woodcrest Country Club and Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook Country Club. The winners at DuPont Country Club were Waynesborough Country Club's head pro Rick Osberg and his assistant pro, Miguel Biamon, with a 9-under-par 31-31-62.

The amateur team of Ed Anton of Woodbury and Ray Fuller of Wedgwood won the two-man scramble tournament of the Atlantic Winter Golf League with a 6-under- par 65 in a field of 116 players yesterday at Ron Jaworski's Eagles Nest Country Club. Joe Russo of Eagles Nest and John Tyrell of Pitman finished first in the professional section with a 67. Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook and Miguel Biamon, the Philadelphia PGA champion from Waynesborough, were runners-up with a 68.

Three pro twosomes tied for first place at par 71 yesterday in the fourth tournament of the Five Ponds Winter Golf League. The tournament was played in the rain at the Five Ponds Golf Club in Warminster. Despite the weather, 40 golfers participated. Tied at the top in the selective-drive and alternate-shot competition were Gary Deetscreek of Five Ponds and Mickey Sokalski of the Philmont Country Club; Gary Hardin of the Northampton Valley Country Club and Dave Roberts of the Cedarbrook Country Club, and John Allen of the Sunnybrook Golf Club and Rick Flesher of the Saucon Valley Country Club.

Jamie Shaffer and Dave Roberts finished tied for first with Chet Walsh and Rick Flesher yesterday in the two-man scramble competition in the season's eighth golf tournament of the Lynx Winter Tour. Both teams shot 5-under-par 65s. Because of the weather - coldest ever for a Lynx event - the format was changed from the two-man Chapman System to the scramble to provide faster play for the field of 56 over the South Course of the Philmont Country Club.

They were Jamie Shaffer, new assistant pro at Woodcrest Country Club, and Dave Roberts of Cedarbrook Country Club; John Allen of Sunnybrook Golf Club and Rick Flesher of Berkleigh Country Club, and the New Jersey team of Frank Babusik of Willow Brook Country Club and Carlos Ochoa of Freeway Country Club. "It was the worst winter day we ever played," said Shaffer, the tournament director.
