Thousands of Americans will go to bed tomorrow night without their Hannah Montana. Tickets for the highly anticipated 3-D concert film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, which opens tomorrow, are almost as hard to come by as actual concert tickets were for the 2007 sold-out tour of the then-14-year-old Miley Ray Cyrus. "Over a thousand showtimes are already sold out across the country," said Harry Medved of the online ticket agency Fandango. He said the film has been a top seller since tickets became available on Dec. 1, and is the best-selling concert film in Fandango's seven-year history.

Miley Cyrus has just left the dentist's office. The verdict: The 13-year-old needs braces. A very Hollywood compromise is reached: Attaching the buttresses to the inside of her teeth. The thing is, Cyrus has a lot of face time as the title character in the Disney Channel's latest kid sensation, Hannah Montana. The March debut drew 5.4 million viewers, the most ever for an original series on the channel. Last month, it was the third-highest rated show on television among tween girls (9-14 year olds)

It's terribly sad when pre-teen girls learn that life is often rigged. But I don't think this hard lesson justifies a class-action lawsuit. I'm talking about Hannah Montana, a character with her own show on the Disney Channel and a concert tour. In real life, her name is Miley Cyrus, 14-year-old daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and a woman whose name I didn't bother to Google because that would divert our energy from where it belongs, namely, shrieking uncontrollably over the possibility of seeing Hannah Montana in concert.

She's had the best of both worlds, this teen counterpart of Clark Kent and Superman. By day, she's brunette Miley Stewart, just another stuttering, accident-prone high school student. By night, under a Barbie-blond wig, she's Hannah Montana, strutting pop princess, exuberant monarch of the have-it-all club, teen auxiliary. Hannah Montana: The Movie may spell the end of both world(s) as Miley/Hannah knows them. For many years, Miley Cyrus has purveyed this pop-smart/pop-tart split personality on the Disney series Hannah Montana and on a concert tour immortalized in last year's Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour movie.

Vanity Fair is a magazine for adult readers. Fifteen-year-old Disney phenomenon Miley Cyrus of Hannah Montana is not an adult - yet. So by granting Vanity Fair the right to interview her and photograph her - by none other than famed lenser Annie Leibovitz - what should Cyrus, Disney or her parents have expected? An adult-themed picture. Think of the alternatives: Did you expect Leibovitz to shoot her sitting on a sofa in jeans playing a guitar or having an iced latte? Instead Cyrus, with a sleepy stare, had a bedsheet to wrap her up, and showed her naked back.

Video reveals Miley Cyrus stage double The nation's top performing artist, Miley Cyrus, better known as the beloved Hannah Montana, is embroiled in a shocker that has citizens questioning the viability of art in the 21st century. A video on YouTube, posted, no doubt, by a Hannah-hater, shows that the 15-year-old Miley, who is on her Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus "Best of Both Worlds" tour, uses a body double during her performances. In the vid, Miley, surrounded on stage by a gaggle of dancers, disappears through a trapdoor and is replaced by a lip-synching double who stays on stage for a minute.

Girls rule. In the world of entertainment, they're royalty, princesses at the cash register. And when they like something, they really, really like it, watching and listening and buying again and again. The power of tweens' wallets and their parents' credit cards is so significant as to influence CD and DVD sales, television viewing, Broadway and concerts. Skyrocketing ticket prices for the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds" concert in "secondary markets," long known as scalpers, are inviting probes by state attorneys general and commentary by Federal Reserve economists.

IN HER TRANSITION from annoying, barely talented tween to annoying, barely talented teen, Miley Cyrus continues to ruffle feathers. Now almost 18, Miley has chosen to follow the Britney , Lindsay route to stardom and show herself off as a completely sexualized seductress. She is completely on display in her new video, "Who Owns My Heart?" in which a more fitting question might be "Who Owns Her Clothes?" Writhing in her undies like a Victoria's Secret model, Miley has again angered the Parents Television Council, which longs for the days when TV's Lucy and Ricky slept in separate beds - and they were married.

EXISTENTIAL questions may not be the reason you've come to the People Paper's Hollywood gossip page, but here you are, and here Temporary Tattle is, and, over there, that's where Caitlyn Jenner is, and she's not going anywhere soon. Except, that is, if you count somewhere like court. Jessica Steindorff , who was injured driving a Toyota Prius in the Feb. 7 Pacific Coast Highway pile-up that Jenner also was involved in, sued the reality-TV star for lost wages and more than $25,000 in damages.

"IM NOT TRYING to be 'slutty,' " Miley Cyrus said in a recent interview. So? Kareem Abdul-Jabbar isn't trying to be tall. Doesn't make him short. "I'm not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys," Miley added. "What I'm trying to do is to make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress. " And that would be . . . ? Not slutty? For many who still want to think of Miley as "Hannah Montana," her "sexy" new look and her provocative video for her new single "Can't Be Tamed," are jarring, controversial and skin-baring.

No smiling, dancing little girl should ever have a funeral at age 6. Yesterday, it seems, someone upstairs agreed. Above the enormous Deliverance Evangelistic Church at 2001 W. Lehigh Ave., once the sprawling site of Connie Mack Stadium, somber clouds remained in place throughout the 2 1/2-hour service taking place there, as if in apology for the tragedy being experienced inside. Beginning at 11 a.m., nearly 800 mourners streamed in to organ music and hymns to say goodbye to Aaliyah Tysheria Sernora Griffin - the first of last week's four victims of the Feltonville car crash to be buried.
