Mayor Nutter called the family of Officer Michael Gwynn from China Friday afternoon, after the officer suffered a heart attack and was saved by two fellow officers. Nutter learned of Gwynn's near-death Friday afternoon and wanted to reach out to his family soon after landing in Beijing, said the mayor's spokesman, Mark McDonald. "The mayor, in his years in office, and the city, in the last almost five years witnessed the death and injury to a large number of police officers," McDonald said by phone Saturday.

LOS ANGELES - Want a clue to your risk of heart disease? Look in the mirror. People who look old - with receding hairlines, bald heads, creases near their earlobes, or bumpy deposits on their eyelids - have a greater chance of developing heart disease than younger-looking people the same age do, new research suggests. Doctors say the study highlights the difference between biological and chronological age. "Looking old for your age marks poor cardiovascular health," said Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen of the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.

WHEN I WAS IN my early teens and working at a Maine amusement park, a friendly man came around frequently, painting this magnificent picture of mountain-climbing and outdoor camping and adventure. He would take me on such an excursion, he said, and I remember asking my parents if I could go, and I remember they said yes, as long as they could meet the guy. I told the guy this and he said that would be no problem, but days dragged on with no meeting and soon the big weekend was upon us and he was pushing for me to go. I would like to tell you my parents forbade me to go, but what I remember is I kind of forbade myself.

Question: I was surprised to hear Rosie O'Donnell had a heart attack recently and initially ignored the symptoms she had because they weren't classic heart attack symptoms. Then I learned, women can have different symptoms from men when having a heart attack. Could you elaborate on the differences?
