Deron Williams had 32 points and six assists to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 105-96 win Saturday night over the visiting Charlotte Bobcats. Brook Lopez added 19 points and backup Andray Blatche had 16 as the Nets completed a four-game sweep of the NBA-worst Bobcats. The win strengthened Brooklyn's hold on fourth place in the Eastern Conference, moving them 11/2 games ahead of Chicago. Ben Gordon scored 27 points and Gerald Henderson had 22 for the Bobcats. Wizards run down Pacers John Wall scored 37 points in a display of speed and flair to lead the host Washington Wizards to a 104-85 win over the Indiana Pacers.

WHILE THE ACTIVITY on the free agent front has been mostly silent for the 76ers, assorted rookies and free agents and NBA hopefuls will be making a lot of noise in Central Florida beginning Thursday, leading up to next week's Orlando Pro Summer League. The team, led by this year's first-round pick St. John's forward Maurice Harkless, will conduct a minicamp at the University of Central Florida for 4 days before playing five games in 5 days at the Amway Center. The team's other first-round pickup, power forward Arnett Moultrie, will be sidelined.

Danny Granger's status with the 76ers could be resolved on Tuesday. That's when the franchise may announce whether or not the 6-foot-9 forward, who was acquired in Thursday's trade with the Indiana Pacers, will remain with the team. Granger wants to play for an NBA championship contender, according to sources. And there's a belief the Sixers will negotiate a buyout of what's left of his expiring contract (about $4 million) to accommodate the former all-star. He must be on a postseason-bound team's roster by Saturday in order play in the playoffs.

A PHILLY-born-and-trained dancer is suing Britney Spears and Reign Deer Entertainment for allegedly breaking her nose. Dawn Noel Pignuola , who dances professionally as Dawn Noel, was hired to work on "Work Bitch," Spears' incessantly catchy single, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Pignuola attended the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and the University of the Arts, getting her start in the dance world at Philly's Koresh Dance Company.

If the Atlanta Hawks part ways with coach Larry Drew when the Hawks are bumped from the NBA playoffs, Drew would be interested in coaching the 76ers, a source with knowledge of the situation said on Saturday. "Larry loves coaching, and he wants to continue as a head coach," said the league source. "He's in a difficult situation, and it's hard to say what will happen in Atlanta. " The Sixers are looking for a replacement for Doug Collins, who resigned one day after the regular season ended earlier this month.

Dwyane Wade's jumper with 0.1 seconds left in overtime gave Miami a 93-91 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night, extending the Heat's home-court winning streak to 12 games. Wade scored 28 points and LeBron James finished with 27 for the Heat. James helped to force overtime by hitting a game-tying three-pointer with 10.2 seconds left in regulation, then not allowing Indiana's Darren Collison to get a potential game-winning shot off. Danny Granger's runner with 2:01 left in overtime gave Indiana a 91-86 lead.

David West scored 20 points, Paul George added 19 and the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks, 102-95, on Sunday in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at Madison Square Garden. D.J. Augustin had 16 points for the Pacers, who built a 16-point lead while New York's Carmelo Anthony was on the bench in foul trouble in the third. Anthony finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Thunder top Grizzlies. Down by one in the final minute, Oklahoma City's Derek Fisher poked the ball away from Memphis' Mike Conley, springing Kevin Durant into the open court with a chance to put the Thunder on top. Durant sank a jumper with 11.1 seconds left for the last of his 35 points, lifting the Thunder to a 93-91 victory over the Grizzlies in Game 1 of the Western Conference semis.

Former Roman Catholic and Massachusetts basketball standout Lari Ketner, 37, died Friday morning after a year-long battle with colon cancer. After starring for Roman (Class of 1995), the 6-foot-10 Ketner went on to play for UMass for three seasons. Drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the 49th pick of the 1999 NBA draft, he ended up playing for the Bulls (1999-2000), Cleveland Cavaliers (1999-2000), and Indiana Pacers (2000-01). Ketner, who helped the Cahillites to a 27-3 record and their sixth straight Catholic League championship in 1994, played with a few minor-league teams after his brief NBA career.

The 76ers may have interest in the Detroit Pistons' Will Bynum as their backup point guard. The Sixers and the Indiana Pacers, along with the Pistons, are said to be potential suitors for Bynum, who becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1, according to the Detroit Free Press. Vince Ellis, the paper's Pistons writer, tweeted the information Friday. The 6-foot, 185-pound Bynum, 30, has been with the Pistons since 2008. He averaged 9.8 points, 3.6 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 18.8 minutes in 65 appearances this past season.

INDIANAPOLIS - It all sounded and felt so familiar. The coach is asked about his center with the bad knees. The news isn't good, but sort of expected. Expectations diminish and the unknown takes over. Such is the life now for the Indiana Pacers when it comes to Andrew Bynum. The center, who was acquired by the Pacers on Feb. 1, played his first two games with the team last week and was quite impressive. In two games for Indiana, Bynum posted 23 points and 19 rebounds in more than 35 total minutes.
