"BASEketball" stars "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone as Coop (Parker) and Remer (Stone); two unemployed, nonathletic best friends who create a game combining the shooting of basketball and the rules of baseball.

McCarthy lashes out Charlie Sheen paranoia is spreading. Several women who have slept with him have voiced concern that he didn't disclose he had the HIV virus. Now his Two and a Half Men costar Jenny McCarthy says Sheen is guilty of negligence for not telling her he had the virus when they pretended to be lovers on the sitcom. * NOVA: VACCINES - CALLING THE SHOTS. 10 tonight, WHYY12.   "NOVA" isn't usually a destination for the science-phobic or medically wary. But tonight on "Vaccines - Calling the Shots," the 40-year-old PBS series isn't just preaching to the choir. It's also trying to speak to those whose reluctance to vaccinate their children has helped fuel a resurgence in diseases like measles and whooping cough. And it's willing to resort to that staple of Facebook - videos of adorable babies - to do it. In this case, the adorable baby is 7-week-old Osman Chandab, who's shown, not so adorably, struggling for every breath in a Melbourne, Australia, hospital as his distraught mother looks on. Osman, we're told, was due for his pertussis (whooping cough)

Despite critical bile, Sunday's U.S. debut of Season 4 of ITV/PBS world-smasher Downton Abbey was a winner for PBS. (Who needs you , Matthew Crawley???) It snagged 10.2 million viewers, the highest-rated drama premiere in PBS history - 22 percent more than Season 3's kickoff (7.3 mils). BTW, Dan Stevens , who played Crawley, famously killed for Christmas at the end of Season 3, lives in Brooklyn these days, so he had "absolutely no idea" what happened to his/Matthew's widow, Lady Mary ( Michelle Dockery )

How many people get to watch their own funeral? Twice. In the same night. That was Charlie Sheen's welcome to the workweek.
