In this, our civilization's winter of discontent, art has become nothing but commerce and commerce the highest form of art. So it is. Just ask Beyoncé . The diva's PR machine has so hyped her upcoming album that fans are desperate for any crumbs of music. She has obliged by releasing a snippet of the new song "Standing on the Sun" in a 90-second video. Mind you, it's not a music video, but a TV ad for H&M. (Fact, it's a double advert: for the retail clothing company, and of course, for B's LP.)

MONDAY, it looked as if the only beneficiary of the Eva Longoria -produced dating show "Ready For Love" was Eva Longoria. That's when Life & Style reported that Eva was dating contestant Ernesto Arguello , a Miami entrepreneur. Eva, however, denies it. "WHAT?! AGAIN? Sorry guys, still not dating @ernestoarguello Who are these 'sources'??" she tweeted. Sources? Who needs sources? "Sorry @ernestoarguello is NOT dating me, but u can see who he is dating on #ReadyForLove tomorrow night on NBC after #TheVoice!

WE REALIZE Time magazine is simply trying to sell magazines and Tattle appreciates that. Sometimes we try to sell newspapers. But if we gave you a list with the names Jennifer Lawrence , Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day-Lewis on it, you might guess that it was a list of important figures in movies. If the list had Justin Timberlake , Jay-Z , Beyoncé , Frank Ocean , Christina Aguilera and Justin Bieber 's manager Scooter Braun , you might guess that it was a list of people having an impact on the current music scene.

Say what you will about pipsqueak pop star Justin Bieber , but the kid is expanding his horizons. While in Amsterdam this weekend, he stopped by the Anne Frank House museum. It's the actual house in which Frank wrote her famous Diary while the adolescent and her family hid in the cramped attic to escape Nazi persecution during World War II. As a certified pop idol, Bieber knows a thing or two about teenage girls. "Truly inspiring to be able to come here," he wrote in the museum's guest book.

TATTLE HATES to pick on dumb teenagers, but what the heck was Justin Bieber thinking? While in Amsterdam, Bieber got a guided tour of the Anne Frank House Museum and wrote an entry into a guestbook saying, "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber. " Absoutely. If she didn't have to hide from the Nazis and die of typhus in a concentration camp 68 years ago. Really, dude, how is your takeaway from the Anne Frank house that you wish she'd been a fan of yours . Bieber's remarks led to criticism from some quarters, as a Facebook response insulting Bieber received more than 1,000 "likes" - slightly more than the museum's original post about the incident.

IT'S TAKEN a little more than 500 years to get to the root of William Shakespeare 's personality, but it turns out he was a bastard. According to a group of academics, the Bard was more Shylock than Puck, a ruthless businessman - hoarder, moneylender, tax dodger - who grew wealthy dealing in grain during a time of famine. You thought he just wrote plays, but researchers from Aberystwyth University, in Wales, argue that we can't fully understand Shakespeare unless we study his often-overlooked business savvy.

Justin Bieber is no longer a boy. But, honestly, is he yet a man? The Canadian megastar's mum, Pattie Mallette , isn't sure. She does know one thing: She's not quite ready to let him go, to fly the coop. "Um, yeah, I mean, he's growing up," Pattie told Access Hollywood on Wednesday. "He's 19. I mean, he's not my baby. I want to be able to take away free will sometimes and be able to do everything for him. " BeliebMom says it's tough to see some of the media reports about her boy, such as a story that the "Baby" singer on Tuesday assaulted a neighbor at his Calabasas, Calif., pad. "I'm sure you can appreciate as a mom how I feel when I read some of these stories," said Pattie.

The suit, filed by the Harrisburg resident in U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania, says Clash promised the young would-be actor he'd help advance his career. Gossip professionals are under attack this week, targeted by celebs who slam us for distorting the truth. Miley Cyrus is mad over rumors she's split up with sweetheart Liam Hemsworth because she's been seen without her engagement ring. She says the bauble is out for repairs. Her pal Evan Rachel Wood tweets her support: "The fact that we live in a world which condones the stripping of basic human rights . . . of people because of their status, is very sad to me. " Yep, I've always dreamt of trampling on Wood's human rights!
