By Elizabeth Wellington So far, we know the royal newlyweds will not have servants in their house, at least for the first three years of their marriage. We've been told that Kate Middleton's life-size wax image won't join the rest of the royal brood at Madame Tussauds until the end of this year. And it was reported that the No Problem Orchestra, a group of Austrian disabled musicians, are to perform at the April 29 affair. But one question remains: What - and maybe more important, who - will Kate wear when she walks down the aisle of Westminster Abbey to marry Prince William?

For young women, there's a twinge of sadness that comes along with the news that Prince William is no longer on the market after proposing to Kate Middleton, his girlfriend of eight years. The resounding response to the news from the mid-20s set has been an acid-tinged, "Good for them. But now he can't marry me. " I can't speak to the British counterparts of my generation, who must be all too aware of the class distinctions between themselves and the prince, no matter how many baseball caps he dons in photos, or how down to earth he seems in his brief press appearances.

In the end it was, as always, a woman and her child, and the effort to deliver. But, for the circus/playground/peanut gallery of the social media, the labor of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, was an orgy of fact-mongering, speculation, and hijinks of all sorts. And social media used the occasion to play host to a huge, silly world party. Lightning-fast Twitter was a fine place to follow the timeline of events, starting from the announcement about 2 a.m. (Philly time) from Peter Hunt of the BBC that "the Duchess of Cambridge is in labour and has gone to give birth at the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

LONDON - Britain's government said Saturday that it had begun the process of reviewing the ancient, discriminatory rules of royal succession, so that if Prince William and Kate Middleton's first child is a girl, she would eventually become queen. The current rule that puts boys ahead of their sisters "would strike most people as a little old-fashioned," Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said. It is just two weeks until the prince and Middleton get married at London's Westminster Abbey, and Clegg said many people might agree that the rules should be changed.

Well, it wasn't hard to see this one coming, given America's love affair with carnivorous corpses. Resident Evil: Retribution , with Milla Jovovich out for her fifth romp as Alice in zombieland, worked its dark magic at the box office over the weekend, raking in $21.1 million in domestic receipts and filleting the sunny Finding Nemo (3-D version), which nevertheless finished second with a not-too-fishy haul of $17.5 million. A box-office exorcism dropped The Possession , which led the movie pack last weekend, to third place, with an estimated $5.8 million.

It's not surprising that Camilla Luddington is so believably American as Jo Wilson, the surgical resident on Grey's Anatomy . She's been working on her accent since she was a child, growing up in the British town of Ascot. "Even at 5, I would go to the supermarket and pretend I had an American accent," she says. "I knew I wanted to act and that Hollywood and America were where the movie stars were. So to impersonate an American was the coolest thing. " Her immersion course came at 19 when she enrolled at Susquehanna University in tiny Selinsgrove, Pa. "All the international students arrived early," she recalls.

He was then hit with news that Andrew named him as a co-respondent in divorce papers he filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on July 15. Andrew's petition cites that dread scarlet-letter word, adultery . If the case reaches court, Simon may have to testify about the affair.

LONDON - The bookies were right: He Who Had Not Been Named is now Prince George. His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, to be exact. On Wednesday, that regal name was bestowed on Britain's 2-day-old royal baby by his parents, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton. Although the thoroughly modern royal couple chose a thoroughly modern way to distribute the news - via Twitter - "Prince George" is as old-school as it gets.
