By Elizabeth Wellington So far, we know the royal newlyweds will not have servants in their house, at least for the first three years of their marriage. We've been told that Kate Middleton's life-size wax image won't join the rest of the royal brood at Madame Tussauds until the end of this year. And it was reported that the No Problem Orchestra, a group of Austrian disabled musicians, are to perform at the April 29 affair. But one question remains: What - and maybe more important, who - will Kate wear when she walks down the aisle of Westminster Abbey to marry Prince William?

For young women, there's a twinge of sadness that comes along with the news that Prince William is no longer on the market after proposing to Kate Middleton, his girlfriend of eight years. The resounding response to the news from the mid-20s set has been an acid-tinged, "Good for them. But now he can't marry me. " I can't speak to the British counterparts of my generation, who must be all too aware of the class distinctions between themselves and the prince, no matter how many baseball caps he dons in photos, or how down to earth he seems in his brief press appearances.

THEY OUGHT to give Hungary's Daniel Gyurta another gold medal, for compassion. Gyurta, who won the 200-meter breaststroke, said he will make a copy of his medal and give it to the family of fellow swimmer Dale Oen, of Norway. Oen, who was favored to medal at the London Games, died in April after suffering a heart attack. The 26-year old was apparently unaware he had heart disease. "We became very good friends this year," Gyurta said. "I'm sure that he would have won the 100 here in London.

In the end it was, as always, a woman and her child, and the effort to deliver. But, for the circus/playground/peanut gallery of the social media, the labor of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, was an orgy of fact-mongering, speculation, and hijinks of all sorts. And social media used the occasion to play host to a huge, silly world party. Lightning-fast Twitter was a fine place to follow the timeline of events, starting from the announcement about 2 a.m. (Philly time) from Peter Hunt of the BBC that "the Duchess of Cambridge is in labour and has gone to give birth at the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

It's not surprising that Camilla Luddington is so believably American as Jo Wilson, the surgical resident on Grey's Anatomy . She's been working on her accent since she was a child, growing up in the British town of Ascot. "Even at 5, I would go to the supermarket and pretend I had an American accent," she says. "I knew I wanted to act and that Hollywood and America were where the movie stars were. So to impersonate an American was the coolest thing. " Her immersion course came at 19 when she enrolled at Susquehanna University in tiny Selinsgrove, Pa. "All the international students arrived early," she recalls.

LONDON - Britain's government said Saturday that it had begun the process of reviewing the ancient, discriminatory rules of royal succession, so that if Prince William and Kate Middleton's first child is a girl, she would eventually become queen. The current rule that puts boys ahead of their sisters "would strike most people as a little old-fashioned," Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said. It is just two weeks until the prince and Middleton get married at London's Westminster Abbey, and Clegg said many people might agree that the rules should be changed.

About 200 people not lucky enough to get royal invites to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton donned their finest chapeaus, jewels, tiaras, medals, and morning suits to toast the happy couple at a champagne breakfast hosted by the British Officers' Club of Philadelphia at Merion Cricket Club. Never mind that a sliver of moon was still visible when the event started at 5 a.m. "I think they're perfect, and they seem so much in love," said Amanda Wolfington, 18, of Malvern, wearing a big floppy hat at a table with some friends and their mothers as they waited for the wedding to begin.

Ed Rendell is taking the Sarah Palin route out of politics: media stardom. NBC News says it has hired the former Pennsylvania governor as a political analyst. "Governor Rendell has never been afraid to share his thoughtful analysis on national and local issues," says NBC prez and local lad Steve Capus , an alum of William Tennent High School in Warminster. "[Rendell's] extensive experience serving the people of Pennsylvania gives him a unique perspective," adds Capus.

ORIGINAL "Charlie's Angel" and longtime Kmart designer Jaclyn Smith spoke to media outside an LA courthouse yesterday. Smith offered her support to actor Ryan O'Neal . The "Paper Moon" actor is engaged in a court battle with the University of Texas at Austin over a portrait Andy Warhol made of O'Neal's late love Farrah Fawcett , who was Smith's dear friend and fellow Angel. O'Neal claims the Warhol belongs to him and Redmond O'Neal , his son with Fawcett. The university says Fawcett willed her entire art collection, including the painting, to the university.

All the principals in the Simon Cowell - Lauren Silverman - Andrew Silverman love (or merely lust, it's unclear) triangle are keeping schtum about the sordid affair that reportedly has left Lauren 10 weeks pregnant with Simon's child . . . and Andrew, 37, foaming at the mouth. Simon, 53, didn't find out Lauren, 36, was pregnant until July 10, the New York Post and New York Daily News report. He was then hit with news that Andrew named him as a co-respondent in divorce papers he filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on July 15. Andrew's petition cites that dread scarlet-letter word, adultery . If the case reaches court, Simon may have to testify about the affair.

LONDON - The bookies were right: He Who Had Not Been Named is now Prince George. His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, to be exact. On Wednesday, that regal name was bestowed on Britain's 2-day-old royal baby by his parents, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton. Although the thoroughly modern royal couple chose a thoroughly modern way to distribute the news - via Twitter - "Prince George" is as old-school as it gets.

LONDON - A glowing Kate Middleton on Thursday christened a gigantic new cruise ship named the Royal Princess. Palace officials said it is planned as her final solo public appearance before she is expected to give birth in mid-July. The Duchess of Cambridge, as she has been formally known since her marriage two years ago to Prince William, used a 4-gallon, $1,500 bottle of Moet and Chandon Champagne to do the job - it was so heavy she couldn't swing it herself, but she cut a ribbon that launched the bottle toward the hull, where it smashed as crowds cheered.

Khloe Kardashian has been kashiered, kanned, kicked to the kurb. The producers of Fox's The X Factor announced Monday that they had pink-slipped Khloe as kohost, confirming a rumor that had been noised about for the last two months. "We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors," the official statement bleated politely. No warning about watching out for the screen door. Khloe's cohost Mario Lopez survived to host another day and will be back to welcome viewers to the show's third season in the fall.

So your baby bump is at the six-month mark, and you've got an important luncheon to attend. What to wear? If you're Kate Middleton, our favorite preggers princess, you would probably do long, lacy sleeves on a fitted pastel sheath - belted right above the tummy. On your feet, matching strappy pumps, of course. And no Duchess of Cambridge look is complete without a perfectly perched pillbox. So say the fashion-foreshadowers at Destination Maternity, the Philadelphia-based parent company of A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity.
