KATE MOSS is headed to rehab. In Arizona. That's the report of two British newspapers, the Times and the Daily Mirror, who seem to trail the waifish supermodel like a perfume scent. Friends of Cocaine Kate told the Times that Moss flew to the Meadows clinic, in Wickenburg, Ariz., where she will spend a month in "medical treatment and therapy. " A nurse on duty at the facility, of course, would not confirm Kate's presence. Neither would her agent. Calls to the Storm modeling agency went unanswered.

QUOTE "It wasn't about being in the Busta Rhymes business - for him it was about being in business with Busta Rhymes. What more could I ask for?" - Grammy-nominated rapper Busta Rhymes on jumping ship from Elektra to work with album industry giant Clive Davis at J Records. Stop the presses! Supermodel waif Kate Moss loathed - abhorred we tell you! - the fashion industry. Shocker, especially after her much-publicized bout with drugs. Moss took a time out from modeling last year after becoming disillusioned with the hedonistic ways so prevalent in the industry.

KATE MOSS IS on the hot seat again, but to her mind, at least it's a small seat. Eating-disorder experts criticized the waifish Moss yesterday after the superdupermodel cited as her motto a phrase used on Web sites that encourage girls to avoid eating. In an interview with the fashion Web site WWD, Kate said one of her mottos was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. " As opposed to Tattle's motto: "Nothing tastes as good as a dinner someone else is paying for. " Mary George of British eating-disorder charity Beat called Moss' words "very unfortunate.

British supermodel Kate Moss has disclosed that she is a recovering alcoholic who, until recently, had not walked down a catwalk sober for virtually her entire career. Moss, 25, described a hedonistic jet-set life of champagne, vodka and cannabis in her years as a top international model. But she told The Face magazine that "things got out of control" and that after five weeks in a London clinic specializing in drink and drug abuse she hoped she had put the past behind her. Moss, who came to fame as a waiflike 15-year-old, said that in the worst days of her addiction she started drinking at 10 in the morning and would carry a hip flask on photo shoots.

THE reinvention of Michael Jackson continues. It seems the King of Pop is looking to become the King of Rap. Yes, according to Rush & Molloy in the New York Daily News, MJ is looking to become edgier. More hip hop. Less hopscotch. "Soon you will see him surrounded by all kinds of beautiful women," says Jackson insider and "Alien Rock" author Michael Luckman. And Jackson's reportedly close to landing folks like Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige to perform on his hurricane relief song, "From the Bottom of My Heart.

THERE ARE days when Tattle just can't keep up. Here's how fast gossip travels the globe. The New York Post's Page Six reported yesterday that waifish supermodel Kate Moss, mom to a 28-month-old daughter, has her pals in a tizzy because her new rock-star boyfriend is known as England's "most famous drug addict. " He's ex-Libertines frontman Pete Doherty - if you don't know the Libertines, don't fret, they are much bigger across the pond than here. The couple, who did not hook up thanks to dateadruggie.

Scientists continue to be baffled by the sheer fruitfulness of demiurgic artist and child-begetter Britney Spears: Star mag says six months after birthing Sean Preston, the Fecund Trailer Park Fury is again pregnant. Does that mean rumors of a split between Brit and her Y-chromo donor Kevin Federline, 27, are false? The couple did spend a recent Maui, Hawaii, vacation cutie-pieing each other to death. Quoting unnamed sources, Star says Brit, 24, disclosed her fertile state to some woman at some spa in Maui, and the mag quotes some unnamed Kev bud saying the Fed told him " 'Britney's pregnant again'.

This is Kate. Kate Moss, to be specific. You've probably seen her. Kate is everywhere. You may know Kate from those Calvin Klein ads, in which she appears bare- chested with Marky Mark. Kate is 19 years old and 5-foot-7. She weighs 105 or 100 pounds, perhaps only 95. She does not know, and why should she care? She eats like a horse. I hate Kate. Kate has been deemed the antidote to supermodels such as Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer. "People were bored with the perfect beauty of the Amazonian supermodel," says model agent Sarah Doukas in this month's Bazaar.

LINDSAY LOHAN, Kate Moss, Miss USA Tara Conner? When I went to rehab (on June 29, 1989) there weren't so many hot women. Or any. Actually, my roommate was a 6-foot-7 African-American crackhead with cystic acne who slept with Noxzema on his face and - I kid you not - a Confederate flag do-rag around his head. Emmett, by the way, was absolutely the nicest guy to have ever sold his plasma for a rock of cocaine. In those days, residential drug rehab was reserved for people with real problems.

KATE MOSS is getting married. So says News of the World. "Yes, we're getting married," the waifish model said when asked about her boyfriend, druggie rocker, Pete Doherty. "I love him so much," said Kate, allegedly. "He's the sexiest man on the planet. " (That's whatever planet Pete happens to be on, we guess.) "I want to be with him," she allegedly told pals. "It's just a case of when. There are certain circumstances which we have to get over and then we'll be together.

IT LOOKS as if Kate Moss isn't going to have a stress-free Christmas after all. London's Daily Mirror, the tabloid that ran images allegedly showing Moss snorting cocaine, has turned over the video to police, a senior staffer at the paper said yesterday. Moss lost contracts with H&M, Burberry and Chanel after the Daily Mirror published the pictures in September. The waifish supermodel later apologized and checked into the Meadows, an Arizona rehab clinic. Police said at the time they would investigate the allegations, taking into account the impact on impressionable young people.

WE KNOW it's the holiday season and all. We know that those who have it like to spend it. But how will we ever convince the children of the value of a dollar when the San Francisco Chronicle's "Daily Dish" is reporting that a 2002 portrait of a pregnant Kate Moss, painted by Lucien Freud, is expected to fetch $6.65 million when Christie's auctions it off in February. That's $6.65 MILLION! Come on. Speaking of cash burning a hole in one's pocket, a Jon Bon Jovi fan paid $11,500 in a New York radio promotion for the privilege of having lunch with the rocker.
