WITH BOTH Thanksgiving and Hanukkah next week, people who are dating someone who has kids would do well to at least consider following the example set by football superstar Deion Sanders , who is dating Tracey Edmonds, ex-wife of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. According to Babyface, Sanders did something that was "the classiest thing in the world" when instead of just setting about building a relationship with the Edmonds' two sons, Sanders reached out to their father first.

FORMER FLYER Max Talbot is officially leaving Philly behind, putting his Bella Vista home on the market. Talbot was traded from the Flyers to the Colorado Avalanche last month for Steve Downie . Located on 9th Street, right below South, Talbot's former abode was a three bedroom/four bath beaut complete with a tricked-out kitchen, Jacuzzi and a walk-in closet that is bigger than some of the apartments I've lived in. TATTLE usually loves a celebrity with a big mouth, but Camden homegirl Tasha Smith really strayed into TMI mode recently when she told Wendy Williams about the lengths she's going to get pregnant. "I'm working on it, honey. As a matter of fact, I'll be ovulating soon. . . . Look, I count down my days of travel. During that time of ovulation, I stay home or I get home or stay home," shared Smith, who plays Angela on Tyler Perry 's "For Better or Worse. " "When you're 42, you've gotta pee on the stick, OK?"

TODAY'S COLUMN is being written through a cascade of joyful tears. Kim and Kanye are engaged. This is such epochal news that we are afraid to let ourselves believe such a monumental event could possibly happen. But it did.   Kim Kardashian is poised to spend the rest of her life (can't believe we wrote that with a straight face) with rap deity and all-around gift-to-the-universe Kanye West . We're not sure if today's sighting of unicorns flying beneath multiple rainbows was just a coincidence, but we do know this: Yeezy popped the question Monday night - with the help of a 15-carat diamond ring - during Kimmy's 33rd-birthday bash at San Francisco's AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, which he'd rented out for the occasion.

Believe in yourself and love your body. And you'll be fine. That's the lesson Jennifer Lopez learned in the first years of her career when she refused to change (slim, flatten) her body to please industry powerbrokers. "When I first started on television, people, and even my own manager at the time, would tell me I had to make all of these changes," J.Lo tells Cosmopolitan for Latinas. "But you have to stand up and say, 'There's nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am. You're the one with the problem!

Friday In an open letter, Sinead O'Connor told Miley Cyrus, "Don't let the music industry make a prostitute out of you. " Miley stuck out her tongue at the well-meaning advice and went on to question O'Connor's sanity. Thursday After 25 years of leading people to believe that Ronan Farrow was Woody Allen 's son, Mia Farrow told Vanity Fair that he may, in fact, be Frank Sinatra 's. Birds did it, bees did it, even Mia and Sinatra in his 70s did it . . . In other knocking-boots news, Chelsea Clinton told Glamour that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky (a/k/a Marjorie Margolies' boy, pride of Merion Station)

No world event is real until celebs opine about it. And since the government shutdown also affects the famous, they were tweeting all day. Their love burns with ardor. And don't try to say otherwise. Kanye West says his liaison with Kim Kardashian isn't a sham, a publicity stunt. Au contraire, their love is so strong, each embrace has the potential to disrupt the space-time continuum. So Kanye said in an hour-long sit-down with Kim's mom, Kris Jenner , which aired Friday on the season finale of her gabfest Kris . The whole chat was something to behold. It was a work of art. Kanye said falling for Kim, his "dream girl," was so amazing that he didn't care if his association with the reality TV star would tarnish his rep as the greatest composer since Beethoven . "I could have people saying, 'This is going to damage your credibility' . . . and I say, 'I don't care.

"I somewhere inside knew, and kind of wanted, to go to jail. " So declared Lindsay Lohan poetically in a hyper-hyped sitdown Sunday with Oprah , cynically scheduled to promote O's movie, The Butler , and LiLo's reality show on O's OWN. Jail gave LiLo, 27, a chance "to find some peace," she said. Having recently completed her sixth rehab stint, she made a most momentous admission: She's an addict. Alcohol is her primary passion, and a "gateway to other things. . . . I tried cocaine with alcohol.
