She does reveal a secret crush. "Do you like Larry David ?" she asks, startlingly. "I'm in love with him, and I have been for a really long time. " Meanwhile, Anonymous Insider tells Us Weekly that Martin's ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow , wants to hang with J-Law.

Larry David is impervious to change. Sure, the cocreator of Seinfeld has set his painfully funny HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm among married Los Angelenos rather than single New Yorkers. And the Brooklyn-born former cabdriver and struggling stand-up comic, who used to live across the hall from a guy named Kramer, now lives in a big house overlooking the Pacific Ocean, purchased with a smidgen of the $475 million payout he and Jerry Seinfeld split for syndication rights in 1998.

Paul Reiser is no coward. His new Paul Reiser Show is an almost-bizarre, low-toned clone of Larry David's hilariously dangerous descent into neurosis, Curb Your Enthusiasm , right down to the ironic, lighthearted theme music. It takes guts to copy so blatantly. In Thursday's first episode at 8:30 p.m. on NBC10, Reiser, who plays a feckless character named Paul Reiser, contemplates taking a job as a game-show host. Word on the street is that David also has been asked to take a crack at the job. So Reiser schedules a meeting with Curb 's feckless Larry David character, played by Larry David, to see if the rumor is true.

Confirming a pregnancy and a disdain Lisa Marie Presley, 40, has never been one to suffer fools gladly. So, yesterday, when she confirmed on her MySpace page that she is pregnant with her first child with husband Michael Lockwood (she has a boy and a girl from her first marriage), she added a few bilious words about the press. She said reporters hounded her all week about her recent weight gain, and they wrote "slanderous and degrading stories. " "Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique . . . they have been like a pack of coyotes," says LMP. "How they have handled themselves with this has been nothing short of . . . disgusting.

Seinfeld is finally getting a spinoff, but it won't star Kramer, Elaine or George. Phil Morris, who stole every scene in which he played the recurring role of Johnnie Cochran-esque lawyer Jackie Chiles, will headline a spinoff of Jerry Seinfeld's absurdist sitcom, which ran from 1989 to 1998 on NBC. Seinfeld creators Larry David and Seinfeld will executive-produce the comedy, Morris said yesterday during the TV critics' semiannual gathering here....

Because of his breakaway success and manic style in "Ace Ventura, Pet Detective" and his escalated salary and positive buzz for "The Mask," Jim Carrey is being referred to as "the new Robin Williams. " It's a parallel that works in more ways than one. After Williams exploded to stardom in 1978 with ABC's "Mork & Mindy," NBC was quick to exploit the comedian's success by dusting off and repeating a short-lived 1977 series revival of "Laugh-In," in which Williams was a featured player.

Tonight, says the news release, ABC presents a show about four "contemporary, single, thirtysomething urbanites whose quirky natures, offbeat behavior and humorous musings celebrate the mundane moments of life - with a twist. " No, Seinfeld hasn't changed networks. The twist is that three of the four are women, not men, and they inhabit Los Angeles, not New York. Otherwise, These Friends of Mine is such a complete ripoff of Seinfeld that you get the willies watching and trying to figure out, "Whose bright idea was this?"

Unless you've really been keeping up with the health and science notes, you've probably never heard of the newly discovered "death grumpiness. " The syndrome is a signal that changes are taking place in your body. "It's like puberty, except you die," explains Michael Richards as Vic Nardozza, a private eye who is very current on these, and most other, matters. A few weeks before you cash in your chips, you get a little moody, depressed, angry. Yet surprisingly, the actors in The Michael Richards Show seem cheerful.

J ERRY SEINFELD and Larry David are reportedly teaming up on a new project, but try to curb your enthusiasm. They won't say what it is. The Los Angeles Times reports that Seinfeld mentioned the project in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" Q&A to plug his Web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. " Asked about the most mundane thing David and Seinfeld ever obsessed over, Jerry replied: "We never obsess over anything that isn't mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling.

IN THE fifth episode of the eighth season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," always-cranky Larry David vents his frustrations at "pig parkers," those folks who park over the lines and take up more than one spot. Tattle brings this up because according to TMZ.com, the show's co-executive producer Jeff Garlin (who also plays Larry's buddy, Jeff) was arrested by Los Angeles police Saturday on a felony vandalism charge after a dispute with another motorist over . . . It's a shock at first. Then a definite relief: Susie Essman is no dragon lady. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star who plays one of the most foulmouthed, sarcastic borderline personalities on TV isn't one herself. She is, dare one say, charming. Sweet. "People are always disappointed when they meet me," Essman, 57, said in a phone chat about her stand-up act next Saturday at Congregation Or Ami in Lafayette Hill. Fans, she said, often ask her to insult them using one of the many choice - and unprintable - epithets that flow so mellifluously from her tongue on the HBO show.

SO ONE CLEAR day a little over a year ago, Walter Clay, a Philly firefighter and West Philly homeowner, was washing his car in front of his neatly kept rowhome. A couple tentatively approached. It's a match made in misanthrope heaven: Larry David, the cringe-inducing crank of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm , and Woody Allen, the existentialist worrywart with the catalog of one-liners about love, death, and hypochondria. Whatever Works, directed by Allen from a script he's had in his desk since Annie Hall days, and starring David as the surrogate Woody, is easily one of the loosest, most satisfying comedies to hail from the prolific writer/director in a while.
