A vacation-bound couple on their way to Philadelphia International Airport were killed early Tuesday when the limousine in which they were riding struck a flatbed truck in Burlington County, police said. The crash occurred about 3:40 a.m. on southbound Route 130 in Bordentown Township, officials said. Mireille Danbury, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, Monroe, 71, died later at Capital Health-Mercer Campus in Trenton. The Danburys, of Hightstown, Mercer County, were in the rear of a Lincoln Towncar driven by Jesse L. Graves, 66, of Trenton, township police said.

An elderly couple headed to Philadelphia International Airport was killed early this morning when a limousine in which they were riding collided with a flatbed truck carrying heavy equipment, police said. The crash occurred about 3:40 a.m. in the southbound lane of U.S. 130 in Bordentown Township, according to township police. Mireille Danbury, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. Monroe Danbury, 71, of Hightstown, died later at an area hospital. Police say the Danburys were in the backseat of a 2004 Lincoln Towncar Limousine driven by Jesse L. Graves, 66, of Trenton.

RENO, Nev. - Former NFL quarterback Jim McMahon and two others were injured yesterday when a limousine crashed through a fence south of Reno, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. The Nevada Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 2 p.m. on U.S. 395. The limo was heading north when it left the four-lane highway and crashed through a wire fence, Trooper Mike Edgell said. "Right now he's in a lot of pain," Edgell said later yesterday. He described McMahon's injuries as "non-incapacitating.

A West Point cadet has filed suit against Patti LaBelle claiming the R&B singer commanded her body guards to viciously beat him at an airport in Texas. The incident, captured on surveillance video, was posted to YouTube yesterday and shows a violent altercation followed by police posing for pictures with the Philadelphia soul singer. A publicist for LaBelle could not immediately be reached for comment. Richard C. King, 23, a senior at the U.S. Military Academy, was on Spring Break on March 11 when he flew home to Houston.

Police are searching for the driver of a limousine in a hit-and-run accident this morning that critically injured a four-year-old boy. The boy was struck about 8:20 a.m. on the 1600 block of Pratt Street in the city's Frankford section. The silver Lincoln Town Car that hit the boy stopped for a few seconds then sped away, police said. The car is believed to be a 2004 model with tinted rear and passengers windows and a tinted sunroof. The first two letters on the plate are believed to be LM, investigators said.

LETTER-writer Fred Whittman wonders why it can take an hour to get out of the parking lot at a major sporting event. I rarely have that problem. Most of the time my friends and I enjoy a leisurely stroll to our stretch limo. It's the longest stretch limo in the world, so Mr. Whittman, and anyone else, for that matter, is more than welcome to join us. We travel quickly and efficiently, several yards underneath one of the longest straight streets in North America. It's easy to find, with a high-vis orange paint scheme.

NEW YORK's WPIX-TVfired reporter Vince DeMentri yesterday, after the former NBC10 anchor was charged with assaulting the limousine driver of the Bahamian United Nations ambassador Wednesday night. DeMentri, 46, was charged Thursday with a third-degree misdemeanor after surrendering to police for allegedly slapping the driver, the New York Daily News reported. Hurley Senanayake , 54, told police that DeMentri, a native of Philadelphia's Frankford section, struck him after the two argued over a parking space.
