ADULT FILM sensation Mary Carey is not letting her loss in the 2003 California gubernatorial race dampen her political aspirations. Carey, who dances at the Oasis Gentlemen's Club (6800 Essington) through Saturday, has her sights set on the White House. "If Sarah Palin can do it, so can I," the buxom blonde told us yesterday. Of course Carey, 30, would have to wait until 2016 to meet the age requirement of 35. Carey, who was seen on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew ," says she has reduced her drinking and now drinks only "beer and champagne," having cut out wine after she threw up following a meal of "half a flatbread pizza and eight glasses of wine.

LAST WEEK we told you how excited was to be debuting as a Wingette in the Wing Bowl on Feb. 5 at the Wachovia Center. But Chris Weinerman , a co-owner of the World Famous Gold Club (1416 Chancellor), where Carey dances Feb. 3-6, says 610 WIP has since told him Carey cannot be a Wingette because she's been in hardcore porn films. Really? Because Katie Morgan , a hardcore-porn actress who hosts HBO's "Sex Tips" and who is at Cheerleaders (Front & Oregon) next week, is slated to be a Wingette, as are Alektra Blue and Kaylani Lei , both porn stars, who will be there for Delilah's (100 Spring Garden)

WE salute Mary Carey, the self-professed porn actress who's making a run for the Governor's Mansion in California. She symbolizes, we feel, how completely wacky the recall effort aimed against Gov. Gray Davis has become. Consider this, in a field that is getting crowded with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gary "Diff'rent Strokes" Coleman, Davis could get 40 percent of the vote in the recall election and lose and a Republican candidate, who only attracts 10 percent of the vote, can end up winning the office.

ADULT FILM sensation Mary Carey believes Monday's revelation that Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child out of wedlock proves that California voters should have picked her in 2003. "I think it proves that I would have been a more honest governor than he was. I have no love children and don't plan on it," says Carey, who placed 10th in the recall election in which Schwarzenegger was the winner. "We're in such a fiscal crisis and if Arnold can't be honest to his wife of 25 years, how can we trust him to have been honest to the citizens of California?"

GET YOUR HANKIES ready. This one could be a tearjerker. We are proud to report that we were able to reunite Tiffany Heller , described as the "Good- Luck Wingette," with Bill "El Wingador" Simmons for tomorrow's Sportsradio 94WIP Wing Bowl 20 at the Wells Fargo Center. In 2005, Heller served as a Wingette for Wingador, a five-time champ, but the next year she defected to serve newcomer Joey Chestnut . She helped the pro-eater chomp his way to victory and returned with him the next two years.

The five iron maidens from Maple Shade executed a strong 2-3 zone effectively yesterday and came away with a 33-27 victory over Florence in a Burlington County League Freedom Division game. Coach Don Bianco never substituted, going the entire 32 minutes with seniors Courtney Fegley, Melissa Moonblatt and Nicole Pekarick and juniors Jenn Carey and Kate McGonigle. "I don't usually do that," he said. "We usually have an eight-player rotation. But we weren't in foul trouble, so I never started rotating.

TATTLE TOOK the day off Monday to go to Dutch Wonderland with our friends and their twins. The cost was something like $23.95 per adult, but with all the coupons, who knows what it really cost. If we'd only waited. Michael Jackson is opening his carnival-style Neverland Ranch on Sept. 13 to 500 guests. Granted, Neverland is a bit farther than lovely Lancaster, but it's a one-time-only event, complete with dinner, magicians, games and a tractor-trailer full of stuffed animals, according to Jackson publicist Stuart Backerman.

Jim "One Buck" Weir wants to be governor of California. "All I need is one buck from everybody," goes Weir's campaign message. "If One-Buck-Weir can't use that dollar in this campaign and squeeze it until the eagle begs for mercy, I've got no business handling your tax dollars. " He's serious. He has a platform. He has a plan. So do they all: the sumo wrestler; the comic with purple hair who smashes watermelons for laughs; the woman who peddles thongs; action star Arnold Schwarzenegger; and the ubiquitous Angelyne, who has made a career out of driving a hot-pink Corvette and promoting herself on billboards.

IF STATES CAN elect professional wrestlers and actors as governors, is it really such a stretch to vote for a porn star? Make that former porn star. Taking a page from the Mary Carey campaign book in California, Melody Damayo (better known as Mimi Miyagi during a career as one of porn's top Asian stars) is running for governor of Nevada. As a Republican. Of course. Why are the porn stars always Republicans? At a recent fundraiser, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, Damayo gave a brief stump speech before hosting a dance competition.

PORN STAR/gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey doesn't want to give up the spotlight just yet. She's hosting a pay-per-view reality show "Can You Be a Porn Star?" and she tells the New York Post's Page Six that she plans to run for office again. "I definitely want to run for governor and maybe mayor," she says. "But I had to take a break because it was exhausting. " What an odd world. Last week a member of Nirvana was so appalled by the music biz he wanted to get into politics, and now a porn star wants a hiatus from politics because it wore her out. As for her reality show, Carey says, "We want girls who look like they're having fun - and aren't just in it for the money.

If you really want to have some fun, get out to California's recall election fast! I did last week, and I'm still laughing. Not only at Gov. Gray Davis, whose political opponents in the Oct. 7 recall election are actually making him look good. If nothing else, the grab for Davis' position, less than a year into his second term as governor, has brought politics back from the graveyard, not only in the state of California, but also across the United States. Many are chuckling about "the California mess.
