Depp, Heard, and $7 million Guess you could say the business has been concluded between Johnny Depp and his onetime soulmate Amber Heard . The couple on Tuesday reached a $7 mil divorce settlement out of court a day before they were due for a hearing. TMZ says Depp will fork over the dough, and his estranged wife will shut down her domestic-abuse case against him. Wednesday's hearing could have added more publicity to her claims that Depp was physically abusive. The pair on Tuesday released their first joint statement.

A federal jury convicted a registered nurse on four counts of health care fraud Monday in a case in which prosecutors alleged she aided her employer in a plan to bilk Medicare out of more than $9 million. Between 2005 and 2008, Patricia McGill, 68, served as the former director of professional services of Home Care Hospice, the Bustleton facility that prosecutors alleged enrolled dozens of patients who did not meet federal guidelines for hospice care. In addition, the government accused McGill, under the watch of the facility's owners, of overseeing the falsification of records to suggest patients were sicker than they were or received treatments that were never given.

Seven million dollars & 50 Cent That's what rapper-thespian 50 Cent ( Curtis Jackson III ) owes Lastonia Leviston for leaking a sex tape she made with a boyfriend in 2008. Leviston slapped Fiddy with an invasion-of-privacy suit that she won two weeks ago to the tune of $5 mil. (He filed for bankruptcy a day later.) But the pain didn't end there: The jury on Friday ordered the author of Get Rich or Die Trying to pay Leviston an additional $2 mil in punitive damages.

THE BIG NEWS out of Stu Bykofsky's Candidates Comedy Night last night was the serious news that the amount of money raised in its 24 years has exploded beyond the half-million mark. The exact figure couldn't be computed immediately, but with U.S. Rep. Bob Brady calling out to three donors demanding $500 apiece (and getting it) and an auction of sports memorabilia raking in the bids, the donations rang like a berserk cash register. For instance, an autographed Donovan McNabb jersey, with an autograph that Stu Bykofsky refused to vouch for, went for $1,000.

Courtney lost $27 mil It's not like it's a big deal or anything, but Courtney Love already has spent $27 million of her late husband Kurt Cobain 's estate. "I know that's a lifetime of money to most people," Courtney tells Britain's Sunday Times newspaper, "but I'm a big girl, it's rock 'n roll, it's Nirvana money, I had to let it go. I make enough to live on, I'm financially solvent, I focus on what I make now. " The Hole frontwoman had a unique system for keeping track of the cash.

Don't think Family Guy guru Seth MacFarlane will be asked to join the National Organization for Women anytime soon. Shock, if not exactly awe, gripped some viewers Sunday night when the first-time Oscar host launched into a surreal monologue about women. He opened with a musical tribute to actresses who opted to appear onscreen topless. It went downhill from there. Some zingers: Django is the story "of a man fighting to get back his woman, who's been subject to unthinkable violence, or as, Chris Brown and Rihanna call it, a date movie," said Seth, 39, referring to the two singers' troubled history.
