FOR 10 WEEKS, Kim Davis has refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples in Rowan County, Ky., where she's the elected clerk, because "God's moral law" won't allow her to do so. Yet God's moral law has somehow allowed Davis to marry four times. That's how the Lord rolls in the Church of Kim. I was glad when Davis was finally jailed Thursday on contempt charges. She can stay there until her fifth wedding, for all I care. Still, her actions got me wondering last week if I, too, would let power go to my head if I were a public servant, able to pick and choose who to mess with.

FROM YESTERDAY'S USA Today : "Ever look in the mirror and think, 'Gosh, if only I had Rihanna 's face/body/life, this work week wouldn't be so bad!' " No, USA Today , Tattle has never thought that. We've occasionally thought, "If only we woke up next to Rihanna, this work week wouldn't be so bad. " The amount of makeup, toning, waxing and liposuction we'd need to look like Rihanna would be an impossible amount to obtain. But for those of you who are at least female (or male with good legs)

Amber & Kierkegaard The inner self is not always commensurate with the outer shell, Søren Kierkegaard said. Amber Heard , in this respect, is a true Kirkegaardian. She looks like Barbie , she tells Elle, but she's not plastic. "I feel like I'm constantly fighting against my exterior, or this exterior presentation of myself," she says. Amber says her marriage to Johnny Depp has not collapsed her individuality. It's reinforced it. "I have a fiercely independent spirit," she says.

EXISTENTIAL questions may not be the reason you've come to the People Paper's Hollywood gossip page, but here you are, and here Temporary Tattle is, and, over there, that's where Caitlyn Jenner is, and she's not going anywhere soon. Except, that is, if you count somewhere like court. Jessica Steindorff , who was injured driving a Toyota Prius in the Feb. 7 Pacific Coast Highway pile-up that Jenner also was involved in, sued the reality-TV star for lost wages and more than $25,000 in damages.

There was a time when even the most confident of ink-wearers feared that hand tattoos would render them forever unemployable. No more. The trendlet Tattoo artists are routinely etching letters below knuckles to create words (among the most popular is love ). And graphics just above the nail bed - such as shamrocks, musical clefs, and ankhs - are favorite tiny tats. Some couples have wedding bands tattooed on their fingers. And hearts, punctuation marks, card symbols, and celestial bodies decorate the sides of fingers.

CAN WE talk? In court. Joan Rivers ' daughter, Penn alum Melissa Rivers , filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit yesterday against Yorkville Endoscopy, in Manhattan, and her mother's doctors, who she claims botched a routine outpatient procedure last August that led to Joan's death. The New York Daily News broke the story. Joan, a still-feisty 81, had gone to the clinic for a throat examination, but doctors did an unauthorized examination of her vocal chords, according to the News ' report on the suit.

IT WAS a very exciting week for the Internet, space exploration and Al Roker . The European Space Agency's Philae landed on a comet - think about that for a sec - and reality TV entity Kim Kardashian was photographed in revealing poses for Paper magazine, resulting in memes galore. And the "Today" show weatherman was offering up weather info for 34 hours straight. The biggest news to emerge this week, in our esteemed estimation, had little fanfare comparatively: Matt Damon will be Jason Bourne once more for a film to be released in 2016.
