Phillies prospect Jesse Biddle continues to mow down hitters in the Eastern League. Biddle struck out 10 batters and allowed one hit over six shutout innings Sunday as the host Reading Fightin Phils beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 2-1, in 12 innings. Last Monday, the former Germantown Friends star struck out 16 in a 3-2 victory in Harrisburg. The 21-year-old lefthander walked three New Hampshire batters. He has a 1.74 ERA.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Juan Tejada's two-run single capped a four-run first inning, and the Reading Phillies beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-3, last night in the Eastern League. Syracuse 9, Lehigh Valley 4 ALLENTOWN - Jorge Velandia's two-run homer led the Chiefs past the IronPigs in the International League. Andy Tracy had a homer and two RBIs for Lehigh Valley. Connecticut 3, Trenton 2 NORWICH, Conn. - Matt Carson had two doubles and an RBI, but the Thunder fell to the Defenders in the Eastern League.

READING - An error with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th enabled Michael Taylor to score the winning run as the Reading Phillies edged the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 8-7, last night in the Eastern League. Rochester 5, Lehigh 3 ALLENTOWN - Matt Macri's three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning sent the Red Wings past the IronPigs in the International League. Lakewood 3, West Virginia 2 LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Jeremy Hamilton's RBI single in the 10th led the BlueClaws past the Power in the South Atlantic League.

Inclement weather Wednesday night forced the postponement of Game 1 of the International League's Division Series between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Pawtucket Red Sox in Allentown, and the start of the Reading Phillies' Eastern League Division Series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester, N.H. Game 1 of the best-of-five series between the IronPigs and the Pawsox will be Thursday and Game 2 will be Friday. Both games will be in Allentown's Coca-Cola Park, and will start at 7:05 p.m. In the Eastern League, Games 1 and 2 of the five-game series have been pushed back to Thursday and Friday.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Shawn Bowman's RBI single in the ninth inning scored Adam Calderone on Tuesday night as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeated Trenton, 3-2, and broke the Thunder's 10-game winning streak. The Thunder led the Eastern League game, 2-1, before Adam Loewen homered in the eighth to tie it up. HARRISBURG - A two-run triple by Jesus Valdez sparked a three-run seventh that carried the Senators to the Eastern League victory over the Phillies. After Valdez knocked in the tying runs, he scored the eventual winning run on a single by Chris Marrero.

READING - Domonic Brown ripped a two-run double to spark a four-run rally in the third inning Monday night as the Reading Phillies beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-3, in the Eastern League. Drew Naylor gave up three runs in six innings to get the win. Brown, Tagg Bozied, and Kevin Mahar each had two hits for Reading. Pawtucket 6, Lehigh Valley 5 PAWTUCKET, R.I. - A three-run rally fizzled in the ninth when the IronPigs' Luis Maza struck out swinging with a runner on second as the Red Sox held on for an International League win. Lehigh Valley's John Mayberry Jr. went 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs.

READING - Drew Naylor outpitched Kyle Drabek on Monday night, leading the Reading Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in the Eastern League. Naylor (3-3) gave up five hits and two runs in 6 1/3 innings for the Phillies. Drabek (4-3), traded to the Toronto organization in December in the deal that brought Roy Halladay to Philadelphia, gave up four runs in six innings, while striking out seven. Shortstop Freddy Galvis doubled and drove in two runs for Reading.

TRENTON - Kyle Drabek worked seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits, walking three, and striking out nine to improve to 14-9 as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats thumped the Trenton Thunder, 6-0, in the Eastern League on Monday night. RICHMOND, Va. - Freddy Galvis tripled home Kevin Mahar and then scored on a throwing error by shortstop Ryan Lormand in the top of the tenth and the R-Phils beat the Flying Squirrels in the Eastern League. ALLENTOWN - Paul Hoover went 2 for 3 with three RBI in a rain-shortened win for the IronPigs over the Red Wings in the International League.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Matthew Rizzotti slugged a three-run homer off former teammate Kyle Drabek to cap a five-run third as the Reading Phillies beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-4, in the Eastern League last night. Vance Worley struck out six batters in six innings for the win. NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Hector Noesi threw a five-hit shutout as the Thunder won the opener of the Eastern League doubleheader, but two Trenton errors let the Rock Cats score four unearned runs to win the nightcap and earn a split.

Five Trenton pitchers combined on a one-hitter yesterday as the Thunder beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-0, in the Eastern League. Jason Stephens tossed three perfect innings in his first start since June 28. Kanekoa Texeira added three hitless innings to earn the win. Wilkins Arias, Grant Duff and Jose Valdez each added a scoreless inning for Trenton. Lehigh Valley 4, Charlotte 3 CHARLOTTE, N.C. - David Newhan doubled in the winning run in the top of the seventh and Michael Taylor drove in two runs to lead the IronPigs to the International League win.
