You may not immediately place the names of Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, but the screenwriters are the Shakespeares of American movie comedy. They achieved this status in part by updating the Bard in 10 Things I Hate About You (a sprightly rethink of Taming of the Shrew) and She's the Man (Twelfth Night). In between they wrote an original, Legally Blonde, an effervescent social satire tweaking mean girls and social-climbing boys, exalting tiny dogs and underdogs. It is with great regret I report that The House Bunny is their Cymbeline.

The breakup of Howard Stern's 21-year marriage led his arch-nemesis, Kathie Lee Gifford, to send him a sympathetic note. Guess what happened next. "I was laughing as I read it," Stern told his nationally syndicated radio audience on Wednesday. "It's a really, really nice note, very religious, references to the Lord. It's like I'm her . . . test in life. " On Thursday, Stern read the letter on the air. "I was very sorry to hear the news that you and your wife have separated," it read.

A woman who served four months on the O.J. Simpson criminal trial jury said yesterday she probably would have found the former double-murder defendant guilty based on evidence she heard before her dismissal for medical reasons. "If I had to vote then [halfway through the trial], I would vote for his guilt," Tracy Hampton told a news conference at the Playboy mansion. She appears nude in a pictorial layout in the March edition of Playboy magazine. "The evidence presented by the prosecution pointed at Mr. Simpson," she said of Simpson, who was acquitted Oct. 3 of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.

The flash of satin, sequins, spandex, and precision step dancing that is Michael Flatley   comes at you in stereo vision in Lord of the Dance 3D, an insistent spectacle blending Las Vegas razzmatazz with World Wrestling Entertainment showmanship. Opening on St. Patrick's Day for a one-week run, the new film is a state-of-the-art version of the show first staged and performed by Flatley at Dublin's Point Theatre in 1996 (the version recorded in a 1997 video). Tricked out with laser lights, Jumbotrons, and stereoscopic cameras, LOTD 3D was filmed at the same Dublin venue, rechristened the 02 theater, in 2010.

The Playboy mansion isn't a playground, but a squalid, doggie-doo-infested dungeon. And Lord of the Manor Hugh Hefner ain't a nice guy, but a tyrannical monster who treats his girls, whom he plies with Quaaludes, like prostitutes. So claims former occupant Izabella St. James in a new tell-all excerpted by the Brit tabs. St. James says Hugh's girls had to live in dirty rooms with "disgusting . . . old worn and stained" mattresses. Hef's room also was filthy, she says, its carpet covered in dog poop.

The busiest Philadelphians in L.A. this week are not Ed Rendell, John Street or even Mark Walsh, chairman of VerticalNet and a major Democratic donor who gets into all the good parties. The busiest Philadelphians are Boyz II Men. The quartet flew in Sunday from a performance in Atlanta and has been going nonstop, says Nate Morris, the oldest of the Boyz, at 29. "We're so tired!" he sighed in a phone interview yesterday. "Let's see. We just filmed The Parkers, The Hughleys and Moesha, remixed our single 'Pass You By' and [tonight]
