You may not immediately place the names of Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, but the screenwriters are the Shakespeares of American movie comedy. They achieved this status in part by updating the Bard in 10 Things I Hate About You (a sprightly rethink of Taming of the Shrew ) and She's the Man ( Twelfth Night ). In between they wrote an original, Legally Blonde , an effervescent social satire tweaking mean girls and social-climbing boys, exalting tiny dogs and underdogs.

The mind reels. Kendra Wilkinson, the former Playboy poser married to an ex-Eagle, agreed to trade places with Kate Gosselin and care for a brood of eight kids? That's right, according to ABC. Those are the two moms pulling the season-debut switcheroo on Celebrity Wife Swap at 8 p.m. Feb. 26. The Philly-born Gosselin, a single mom, would sure seem to be getting the better of the deal, since Wilkinson has just one 3-year-old boy, and a husband around the house as well - former Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett.

The flash of satin, sequins, spandex, and precision step dancing that is Michael Flatley   comes at you in stereo vision in Lord of the Dance 3D, an insistent spectacle blending Las Vegas razzmatazz with World Wrestling Entertainment showmanship. Opening on St. Patrick's Day for a one-week run, the new film is a state-of-the-art version of the show first staged and performed by Flatley at Dublin's Point Theatre in 1996 (the version recorded in a 1997 video). Tricked out with laser lights, Jumbotrons, and stereoscopic cameras, LOTD 3D was filmed at the same Dublin venue, rechristened the 02 theater, in 2010.

The busiest Philadelphians in L.A. this week are not Ed Rendell, John Street or even Mark Walsh, chairman of VerticalNet and a major Democratic donor who gets into all the good parties. The busiest Philadelphians are Boyz II Men. The quartet flew in Sunday from a performance in Atlanta and has been going nonstop, says Nate Morris, the oldest of the Boyz, at 29. "We're so tired!" he sighed in a phone interview yesterday. "Let's see. We just filmed The Parkers, The Hughleys and Moesha, remixed our single 'Pass You By' and [tonight]

Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart told more than 7,000 followers at a service yesterday that he is guilty of sin and must step down temporarily from his top-rated television ministry. "I've sinned against you, and I beg your forgiveness," Swaggart said in an emotional 30-minute apology to his congregation in which he stopped short of naming his sin. Swaggart has been under investigation by his denomination, the Assemblies of God, for alleged immoral behavior. On Thursday, he met for nearly 10 hours with the church's executive board at its headquarters in Springfield, Mo., where officials reportedly were shown photographs of Swaggart and a known prostitute entering and leaving a New Orleans motel room.

To some folks in this artist-rich town, there are the galleries that showcase refined artistic talent - and then there's Leslie Herson's storefront. The distinction has become critical for those deciding what to make of the latest display in the windows of Herson's doodad store, Love Saves the Day. The windows - visible to passersby on Main Street and to motorists crossing the Delaware River bridge from Lambertville, N.J. - display a showy testament of the female body: full-size oil paintings of nude women, with tiny brush strokes giving explicit details.
