Seniors Jordan Greene and Joe Robinson were the only Abington Friends players to reach double figures in scoring Thursday, but it was more than enough to move the Kangaroos past visiting Barrack Hebrew, 69-28, in a nonleague boys' basketball game. Robinson poured in a game-high 26 points, including six free throws. Greene scored 25. In other nonleague action, Phelps recorded 21 steals to cruise past visiting Hun School, 65-35. Terry Larrier, a senior bound for Virginia Commonwealth, scored a game-high 20 points.

Sajanna Bethea dropped in a game-high 22 points Monday to lead Pennsbury to a 51-49 nonleague win at Lansdale Catholic. Mary Kate Brokans led Lansdale Catholic with 16 points in a losing effort. In other nonleague play, Curtrena Goff made all seven of her free throws and scored a game-high 20 points for host Upper Dublin, which beat Council Rock North, 69-32. Robmira Taylor contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds for Simon Gratz, which beat visiting Ben Franklin, 68-33. Brianna Jenkins also scored a game-high 19 points and had six steals for Simon Gratz.

Kiernan McCloskey poured in 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds Thursday afternoon to help Germantown Academy open its Inter-Ac League girls' basketball season with a 64-16 victory over Baldwin. The senior forward was aided by freshman point guard Kendall Grasela's 10 points and four steals. Tri-County. Christen Burdo scored 14 points and Nicole Tupillo had 12 to help Perkiomen School down host Kimberton Waldorf, 41-33. Nonleague. Megan Barker's 13 points and eight rebounds led Collegium Charter to a 34-16 win over visiting Renaissance Academy.
