I'm sorry to break it to you, but chances are, you're not a savage. I know you've drawn on your baddie eyebrows, penciled in a date for every night of the week, and already scrolled through your contacts for your next side piece - but that armor is probably only skin deep.   Savage is the latest name for an old concept, the same way "cuffing season" came to define the winter tradition of hunting for a partner, knowing he or she would be ditched before sundress season.

IN THE END, Rihanna didn't have to dime out Chris Brown. Before she needed to be called to testify, her ex-boyfriend pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault on the "Umbrella" singer. He entered his plea before his preliminary hearing began. Brown will be sentenced on Aug. 5, but the terms of the plea deal call for him to serve five years of formal probation and six months - roughly 1,400 hours - of community labor. He will be able to complete his probation in his home state of Virginia and his service will be made up of either graffiti removal or roadside cleanup.

LADIES-WHO-LOVE-LADIES and gentlemen (hetero chicks, you can probably skip this item), Esquire mag has named their Sexiest Woman Alive: Rihanna. (The Esquire list is not to be confused with People 's list that includes 50 people and, most importantly men, nor Maxim 's Hot 100, which hardly deigns to identify the winning ladies, nor the countless lists kept in the heads of many teenage boys.) The Esquire pictorial, which, let's be honest, is what people care about, features the Barbados-born Rihanna covered in not much more than seaweed, sand and dirt, looking like she positively owns the title.

THE WORK OF local photographer/blogger Conrad Benner caught the eye of the people behind Rihanna 's new tour. An image that Benner, a noted chronicler of the city's streets, took of SEPTA's abandoned Spring Garden Station on the Broad-Ridge Spur will be a part of her new tour, appearing behind the mega-pop star while she sings her hit "Man Down. " Benner, who runs a site called Streets Dept (streetsdept.com), described his sojourn to the station in a 2013 blog post as "an abandoned mecca for graffiti artists and urban explorers alike, who are arguably the only people showing the old station any love.

MIGHT AS well face it, she's addicted to love. According to Jezebel.com, RiRi is heading to Rihab.   Tattle doesn't believe we have ever sourced Jezebel previously, so this item should be read with a certain amount of skepticism, but the website says that Rihanna is taking a break from touring to check into the 2,000-acre Recovery Ranch in Nunnelly, Tenn., to participate in the love- and sex-addiction program at the Ranch's Center for...

Rihanna won video of the year for her sexy hit "We Found Love," but it was the fresh-faced boy band One Direction that stole fans hearts during MTV's Video Music Awards on Thursday night. The 2012 awards were scripted as lead-nominee Rihanna's night, but the teens in One Direction won three awards, including best pop video and best new artist at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. There was no signature moment as in years past, but Rihanna's show-opening medley was one of the night's sauciest moments.

MYCHAL KENDRICKS scored a shout-out from Rihanna yesterday. The singer listed the Eagles linebacker as her choice on Instagram's "Man Crush Monday," posting a photo of Kendricks with the comment, "Is it Monday? Cuz chhh . . . #MCM" Rihanna has a history of athletic attraction, having been linked to Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, Cavaliers center (and former Sixer) Andrew Bynum, Heat forward Rashard Lewis, and Knicks guard J.R. Smith. Kendricks, who bears a striking resemblence to Rihanna's ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, didn't seem thrilled about his not-so-secret admirer.

YOU EITHER HAVE SOMETHING or you don't. Claiming you have something you don't actually have is not something you can lie about for too long. Eventually, it catches up with you. So Tattle is baffled by the report on RadarOnline.com that Hustler claims it has a sex tape of leggy "S&M" singer Rihanna and rapper J-Cole , (who may have really been) her opening act on her recent "Loud" tour. " Hustler is in possession of the Rihanna and J-Cole tape," said a rep for Larry Flynt's porn empire.

In a much-touted chat with Oprah , Barbadian beauty Rihanna speaks at length about her 2009 assault at the hands of former bf Chris Brown . "Everything I knew switched in a night, and I couldn't control that," Rihanna says in the interview, set to air Sunday night on OWN. "It was a weird, confusing space to be in because as angry as I was - angry, hurt, and betrayed," she says. Rihanna says she was concerned Brown would be demonized rather than receive the help he needed to deal with his anger.

C HRIS BROWN seems intent on sabotaging his own career. According to E! News, he's being sued for assault, among other charges, by his own manager. Michael Guirguis (a/k/a Mike G of Nitevision Management), filed suit against Brown for assault, battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing and probably anything else that a guy can be sued for. According to MTV.com, Massachusetts songwriter Casey Dienel (a/k/a White Hinterland) is suing Justin Bieber because she claims the Biebs has taken the vocal riff which opens her 2014 song "Ring the Bell" and uses it (or a rerecorded version) to open his new hit "Sorry. Rihanna is a drama queen. And that's fine. More than any female artist since Madonna in her Sex prime (that's NOT to say the now-older Madonna can't be in any prime at present, just that her newer material stinks), Rihanna has turned skin, sensuality and seduction into theater. Bouncing back-and-forth from dominatrix to waif, from zipless aggressor to detached femme-fatale to tender quarry, the 28-year-old seems to toy with her own mythology for sport and profit. The drama of her life beyond music is what drives RiRi's spectacular ANTI tour, which brought her to the Wells Fargo Center Sunday night.

A couple weeks ago, two men from Stratford reported a dog that had been hanging out on their front lawn to the folks at the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. So, of course, the staff took her in. She seemed like a nice dog. White, short hair. Lineage uncertain. Boxer? Pit bull? Some scratches, but not too bad. But nervous, very nervous. The staff members decided to let her calm down a little before checking her for a microchip. The next day, they did. It turned out someone was looking for her. The microchip company had a number in New York City.

Jack Black 's Kung Fu Panda 3 made $12.5 mil in its fourth weekend, taking take second place, and the Jesus biopic Risen , starring Ralph Fiennes , debuted at No. 3 with $11.8 mil. My favorite movie of the weekend, the Danish import A War , made $36,047.
