A man was shot to death Thursday night in North Philadelphia, police said. About 9:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Somerset Street, the man, described as 20 to 25 years old, was shot once in the head, police said. Officers who responded to a report of gunshots on the block found the victim unresponsive on the sidewalk, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:55 p.m. Police report no arrests as of Friday morning. The motive for the slaying remained unknown.

A man was shot to death outside a funeral home in Camden where a scheduled viewing was proceeding Thursday night, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. outside May Funeral Homes, 1001 S. Fourth St. A viewing was scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. for Rosa G. Serrano, according to her obituary. No further information was available on the victim or whether he was at the scene for the viewing. Authorities reported no arrest. No one was available for comment at May Funeral Homes.

One man was killed and another wounded in a double shooting Friday afternoon in the city's Point Breeze section, police said. Just after 4:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of Wharton Street, a 25-year-old man was shot in the left side of his chest. He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:09 p.m. Another 25-year-old man was shot in the right finger. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. A gun was recovered from the scene.

A 16-year-old girl was grazed in her right ear by a bullet Monday night in the city's Summerdale section, police said. The incident happened just after 9:20 p.m. in the rear alley of the 800 block of Sanger Street, police said. She was transported by medics to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where she was listed in stable condition. Police reported no arrests. - Robert Moran

A 25-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in Southwest Philadelphia, police said. Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the victim was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Korman residential complex in the 8400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard, police said. Two men found dead inside Camden homeAuthorities identified two men who were found shot to death inside a house in Camden on Thursday morning. Shortly before 9:50 a.m., police were called to a house in the 500 block of South Eighth Street, where they found Richard Lincoln, 50, and Angel Martinez, 33, suffering from gunshot wounds. The men, who lived in Camden, were pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests were reported. Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson asked for the public's help with any information on what he said was a "recent rash of homicides that are occurring inside houses and vehicles.

Two people were stabbed and a third wounded by gunfire in a violent encounter Wednesday night in North Philadelphia, police said. About 8:20 p.m. at 18th Street and Girard Avenue, a 47-year-old woman was shot in the left calf and grazed in the right cheek by a bullet. A 24-year-old woman was stabbed in her right forehead. A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the left side of his back. All were transported to Hahnemann University Hospital and were reported in stable condition. A gun was recovered from the scene.

Two children were injured in a school bus accident Tuesday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said. The accident occurred around 4:20 p.m. and involved the bus and two other vehicles at the intersection of Diamond and Van Pelt Streets, police said. Medics were called for two children who were on the bus. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available. No other injuries were reported. A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition after being shot twice in his right leg Friday afternoon in the city's East Germantown section, police said. The shooting was reported about 4:20 p.m. - after the teen got on a SEPTA bus at Wister Street and Nedro Avenue and then announced that he had just discovered the two bullet wounds in his upper right leg. The teen, who told police he did not know where the shooting happened, was taken to Einstein Medical Center. No arrests were reported.

A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition after accidentally shooting his left hand Thursday night in the Grays Ferry section of South Philadelphia, police said. Police were called just before 10 p.m. to the 1500 block of South 32nd Street, where the boy wounded himself in his parents' second-floor bedroom, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The boy had already been taken by his mother to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Police were told the boy found a semiautomatic handgun behind the bed. It discharged, wounding him. Police found the gun on the bed, a bullethole in the wall, and a trail of blood leading downstairs and out the front door, Small said.
