A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition after being shot twice in his right leg Friday afternoon in the city's East Germantown section, police said. The shooting was reported about 4:20 p.m. - after the teen got on a SEPTA bus at Wister Street and Nedro Avenue and then announced that he had just discovered the two bullet wounds in his upper right leg. The teen, who told police he did not know where the shooting happened, was taken to Einstein Medical Center. No arrests were reported.

A 25-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Monday night in South Philadelphia, police said. Just after 7:25 p.m. in the 2200 block of McKean Street, the man was shot twice in the back and once in the right elbow. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. A 62-year-old woman was killed and another person was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash Thursday night in Camden County, authorities said. The crash occurred sometime after 9 p.m. on South White Horse Pike in Stratford, authorities said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to Cooper University Medical Center. The cause of the accident was being investigated by police. - Robert Moran

A 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Center City, police said. The woman was struck at the intersection of 15th and Locust Streets shortly before 2:30 p.m. She was taken by medics to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2:57 p.m. The vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was not arrested, police said. A 32-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, police said. Shortly before 8:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue, the victim was shot several times. Police rushed him to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:52 p.m. No arrests were reported. - Robert Moran

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the victim was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Korman residential complex in the 8400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard, police said. Around 6:30 p.m., the woman was found unresponsive by a family friend in a residence in the 200 block of West School House Lane, police said. The woman had blood on her face and waist. The robbery occurred just before 7:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Venango Street, police said. The victim, who was stabbed in the right side of his chest, was taken by medics to Temple University Hospital. Police recovered a weapon at the scene but reported no arrest. - Robert Moran

A 22-year-old suspect in a triple shooting that left a bystander dead in the city's Fairhill section last month surrendered to police on Wednesday. Dayquine Cooper was charged with murder, criminal attempted murder, and related offenses stemming from a shootout on July 15 in the 2800 block of North Ninth Street. Cooper allegedly was in a gun fight with at least one other man who remained at large Thursday, police said. A 64-year-old man, identified by police as Jerry Floyd, was fatally wounded.

A 46-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night in North Philadelphia, police said. The shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. at Germantown Avenue and Cambria Street, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. Officers were patrolling nearby and responded quickly enough to see a man running from the scene with a gun. The officers pursued the suspect on foot and caught him at 11th and Cambria Streets, Small said. The suspect, a 23-year-old man, tried to toss a revolver in some bushes but police recovered it. Police took the victim, identified Thursday as Jorge Lopez, of the city's Fairhill section, to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:42 p.m. Authorities did not release the suspect's name Thursday, saying charges had not yet been formally filed.

A plan to install 10 surveillance cameras in high-crime areas of Pottstown was presented to the borough council this week. The camera system, which is being funded by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, will be monitored around the clock by the Pottstown Police Department, said Assistant District Attorney Brianna Ringwood. The cameras, which can be moved to different locations as needed, will be useful in apprehending suspects and aiding investigations, Ringwood said.
