A 49-year-old man died about 20 minutes after being shot late Monday afternoon in West Philadelphia, police said. The man, whose name was not released, was shot once in the left torso just before 5:15 p.m. in the area of 62nd and Arch Streets. Police took him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced at 5:36 p.m. Police reported no arrests. - Robert Moran

An unidentified man in his early 50s was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said. The man was shot in the chest, stomach, shoulder, and arm just after 2 p.m. in the 2300 block of North Second Street, police said. Medics took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:36 p.m. Police reported no arrests. - Robert Moran

A 32-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the groin while riding a motorcycle Friday night in West Philadelphia, police said. The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. at 59th Street and Cobbs Creek Parkway. The victim was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. A 38-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot Tuesday night in Philadelphia's Nicetown section, police said. Just after 9:40 p.m., the victim was shot in the chest, back, and legs, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The man was taken by private automobile to Einstein Medical Center. Police were told that the shooting occurred in the 1900 block of Rowan Street, but officers could find no evidence of shooting at that location, Small said. - Robert Moran

Police on Monday identified two officers involved in an exchange of gunfire with a man who allegedly shot at them in West Philadelphia last week. Officers Anthony Panichelli and Jude McKenna, both three-year veterans of the force, were responding to a domestic incident Friday afternoon at a residence in the 200 block of South Millick Street when 24-year-old Kadeem Nelson allegedly shot at them from inside the home. One of the shots hit Nelson's 28-year-old sister in the right forearm.

A man was shot to death outside a funeral home in Camden where a scheduled viewing was proceeding Thursday night, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. outside May Funeral Homes, 1001 S. Fourth St. A viewing was scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. for Rosa G. Serrano, according to her obituary. No further information was available on the victim or whether he was at the scene for the viewing. Authorities reported no arrest. No one was available for comment at May Funeral Homes.

About 5:25 p.m. in the 5600 block of Osage Avenue, the man, described as 18 to 20 years old, also was shot in the right side of his chest and the right wrist. Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman found inside an Atlantic County home Wednesday afternoon, prosecutors said. About 1:30 p.m., police responding to call to check the well-being of the occupants in a home on North Oxford Street in Ventnor City found them dead from apparent gunshots, prosecutors said. No other details were disclosed. Autopsies were pending, officials said. The names of the victims were withheld pending family notifications. An unidentified man found suffering from gunshot wounds in a Southwest Philadelphia alley Tuesday night died a short time later, police said. Just after 7:36 p.m., the man was discovered in the rear alley of the 5800 block of Fernwood Street. A 27-year-old Camden man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of a woman in 2013, prosecutors said Wednesday. Charles Sheppard pleaded guilty to repeatedly stabbing Rhonda Scott, 38, and then setting her on fire at a residence in the 1700 block of Tioga Street in Camden on Feb. 8, 2013. Sheppard agreed to a plea agreement with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office before his scheduled trial in April. He later filed a motion to get out of the deal, but it was denied.

Police were asking for the public's help in identifying a man who committed an armed robbery at the Girard Station on the Market-Frankford line Friday evening. The robbery occurred about 6:15 p.m. on the westbound platform, police said. The suspect approached a woman and pointed a pistol with an extended magazine at her, He demanded her purse and then fled the station. Firefighters responding to a hazmat incident at a North Philadelphia plastic-materials and resins manufacturing facility Thursday night are restricting vehicle traffic in the area, authorities said. Firefighters were called at 6:17 p.m. to Purolite Corp., 3620 G St., for a hazmat situation. No further information was immediately available on the nature of the problem. Police had said residents on nearby blocks were being told to shelter in place. Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel said only the 3600 block of G Street was evacuated.

A 36-year-old Camden County woman was stabbed to death by her estranged husband, who then tried to kill himself, authorities said Tuesday. Police responding to a report of a domestic incident at the Heights of Collingswood Apartments, 700 W. Browning Rd., and were directed by family members to a bedroom where Joseline Perez was found suffering from multiple stab wounds shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Timothy Moorman, 41, of Camden, was transported from the scene to Cooper University Hospital and was listed in critical condition from self-inflicted wounds.

A 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Center City, police said. The woman was struck at the intersection of 15th and Locust Streets shortly before 2:30 p.m. She was taken by medics to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2:57 p.m. The vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was not arrested, police said.
