Dressed to Kill star Angie Dickinson , 78, writes about her daughter's autism in an essay in Los Angeles magazine, excerpted by Newsweek. Troubles for Nikki Bacharach , Dickinson's daughter with composer Burt Bacharach , began early: She was born three months premature in the summer of 1966, weighing only one pound, 10 ounces. She was placed in a preemie isolette and was not allowed to be touched - a bad move for any baby, Dickinson notes. "Even the doctors back then didn't know the value of touch," she writes, "that if you never get touched or hear a loving voice or get held in those first months, you won't ever feel real or feel connected to anything.

AS SPACE limitations today force a truncated Tattle, it's a good thing our first item is gold. According to E! Online, British sculptor Marc Quinn has created "Siren," a solid-gold statue of model Kate Moss. It's worth nearly $2.8 million and weighs 110 pounds - more than the actual Kate - and will will be on display at the British Museum from Oct. 4 to Jan. 25. In 2006, Quinn made Sphinx, a bronze statue of Moss, but it's not like he's obsessed or anything. Girls and their dads Bob Duff, father of Hilary, is going to spend 10 days in a Houston jail for contempt of court.

LINDSAY LOHAN and her BFF, Samantha Ronson, were reportedly in Long Island over Easter weekend so Lindsay could visit her grandfather Richard Lohan, who's battling colon cancer. "Right now, he's really been broken down by this disease," Michael Lohan told E! News. Lindsay almost had to make two visits to the hospital. TMZ.com reports that Lindsay's grandmother, Marilyn Lohan, wife of Richard, lost control of her car yesterday, hit a pole and a tree and had to be airlifted to the trauma unit at Nassau University Medical Center.

WHILE TATTLE was in Toronto watching movies, talking to celebrities and experiencing food and sleep deprivation, we lost touch with the folks who usually populate this space. Lindsay Lohan? Still in rehab. O.J. Simpson? Still in trouble. Make that lockdown. Britney Spears? Still a train wreck. Spears' MTV VMA "performance" was even the talk of the Toronto International Film Festival, where we sat next to film critics at 9 a.m. screenings who seemed more interested in their work than Britney did - and they were snoring.

THE FIRST stage of Lindsay Lohan's intervention took place over the weekend. Unfortunately for Lindsay, the intervening party was the Los Angeles police. Proving that young women really do want to emulate Paris Hilton, Linds was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Saturday morning after her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible struck a curb on Sunset Boulevard. Two passengers ("friends" who did let their "friend" drive drunk) were in the Benz at the time - about 5:30 a.m. Assuming Lindsay was not out for a sunrise jog, there is no reason why someone who can afford a taxi, limo or private chopper should be driving herself around at dawn after a night of clubbing.

"UGLY BETTY" has cut Lindsay Lohan from six episodes to four. Reason A: Star America Ferrera didn't like Lohan and got her booted. Reason B: Lindsay was a diva who did not get along with Ferrera. (Catch that, Michele Bachmann: Lindsay Lohan doesn't love America.) "It was a mess," an anonymous production insider told the New York Post's Page Six. "Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. " The source also claims that Lohan refused to be on set before Ferrera and during rehearsal for a scene in which her character was de-pantsed by Betty, and that Lindsay was found to be wearing nothing under her pants.

P OSH SPICE IS going to be Baby Spice. Again. Rail-thin former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham - how does she keep getting pregnant with zero fat on her bones? - and her soccer-playing, underwear-modeling husband, David, are expecting a child later this year, said her spokeswoman, Jo Milloy . People magazine is giving legitimacy to the Amanda Seyfried - Ryan Phillippe coupling, but we don't see this as anything more than temporary fun for two area beautiful people - she's from Allentown, he's from Delaware.

THE PRELIMINARY hearing against Michael Jackson 's doc, Conrad Murray , began yesterday in Los Angeles with M.J.'s mom, Katherine , brother Jackie and sister La Toya in attendance. On his way into the courtroom, Jackie said that he wanted only one thing from the trial: justice. Los Angeles County Prosecutor David Walgren said in his opening statement that Murray didn't call paramedics until after Jackson was dead; that he tried to conceal evidence that he gave Jackson a powerful anesthetic called Propofol; and that he administered CPR incorrectly.

THE LEAD SINGLE from Michael Jackson 's posthumous debut, "Michael," was posted on his website yesterday morning. The song, "Breaking News," deals with Jackson's tempestuous relationship with the tabloid media. "Michael," scheduled for a Dec. 14 release, is the first component of a $250 million deal that Jackson's estate inked with Sony Records earlier this year to release 10 new Jackson albums. Jackson died in June 2009. But all is not well in Neverland. TMZ reported that Jackson's kids and his mother, Katherine , don't think the song, which was reportedly recorded in New Jersey in 2007, is by Michael at all. TJ Jackson, son of MJ's brother Tito, tweeted: "There's many MJ vocal impersonators.

HAVE YOU BEEN feeling run-down lately? A little depressed? It may not be your allergies. It may be because Lindsay Lohan, 22, and Samantha Ronson, 31, have temporarily split. After weeks of denying that the couple was no longer a couple, Lindsay told E! " Isn't the real problem that Lindsay has been focusing only on herself for years now?
