* GRACE OF MONACO . 9 p.m. Monday, Lifetime. Nicole Kidman stars in this oddly filmed look at a tumultuous period in the life of the Philadelphia-born princess - and on her supposed role in helping to end a standoff between tiny Monaco and Charles de Gaulle's France. Widely panned at Cannes, it has landed here after a very public fight between director Olivier Dahan and producer Harvey Weinstein. Lifetime's put on much, much worse than this, though, and I don't blame you a bit if you can't resist.

When comedian Patton Oswalt, this generation's Jonathan Winters, hits the Tower tonight, he'll unleash a new set of absurdist tales. Oswalt, 45, best known as the voice of Remy in the Disney film Ratatouille and as the narrator of ABC's The Goldbergs , along with acting roles in The Kings of Queens and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , comes through Philly with the pedigree of a seasoned author. His second memoir, Silver Screen Fiend: Learning About Life from an Addiction to Film , was published this week, following up his 2011 best-seller Zombie Spaceship Wasteland . TCM ESSENTIALS JR. 8 p.m. Sunday, TCM. THE NEW HOST of "TCM Essentials Jr. " doesn't claim to know what classic movies parents should be introducing to their children this summer. He just knows what he likes. "The picks weren't so much about like what, oh, what will parents like, what will kids like, whatever," said "Saturday Night Live" player Bill Hader in a recent phone interview. "It was mostly just personal preference and what I was into and stuff that I have like a personal story on. " Hader, who'll be 33 on Tuesday, is enough of an old-movie buff to have done a stint as one of TCM's guest programmers, and his new gig, in which he replaces actor John Lithgow, grew out of that one, he said.

NBC News yesterday made it official: Ann Curry will replace the departing Meredith Vieira as co-anchor of the "Today" show. Curry, who's been the show's news anchor since 1997, has also anchored "Dateline NBC" and served as Brian Williams' primary backup on "The NBC Nightly News. " But she may spend as much time in the air as she does on it: She's reported from everywhere from Darfur, Sudan, to the South Pole. Last week, she was in Pakistan. Here's hoping five mornings a week at Rockefeller Center won't bore her silly.
