CAMPO'S We were there: 6:14 p.m. (pregame). We waited: 12 minutes. We ordered : A cheesesteak. We paid: $9.50. Phindings: When you call yourself "Philadelphia's Cheesesteak," you better deliver the goods, right? Well, the Pretty Good (as opposed to "Great") Phoodini didn't find that to be the case during his most recent Citizens Bank Park noshfest. After some deliberation, the standard cheesesteak with Cheez Whiz was selected from a limited menu that includes "The Heater" ($9.50)

A FEW years ago, a psychic told Tony Luke Jr. he hadn't survived childhood in any of his previous 10 lifetimes. Maybe that's why the South Philly native is driven to lead so many different lives in his current incarnation. Carrying a tattoo-bedecked, 340-plus pounds and sporting a cleanshaven head, twin diamond stud earrings and a serious goatee, the man born Anthony Lucidonio Jr. may look like a loan shark's collector or a nightclub bouncer, but he is a wildly successful businessman who runs an ever-expanding international dining and frozen-food business.

SAN FRANCISCO - We're not in Philadelphia anymore, Toto. We're in the Land of Odds. You could tell because the weather here Tuesday was reminiscent of foggy London in the morning, sunny Miami at midday, and windy Chicago later. Other giveaways were the single-masted schooner about where Tony Luke's would be at Citizens Bank Park, a Thai sports bar, and a coffee shop across the street from the ballpark that was as crowded as the bars and where, a few hours before Game 3 of the NL Championship Series, several patrons were playing chess.

To Francesca Green and Augusta Harris, both 17 and from Berwyn, attending a Phillies game means an overflowing ballpark with a view of Center City, a nose-pleasing aroma of Bull's BBQ and Tony Luke's cheesesteaks in Ashburn Alley, and a perpetually contending team of all-stars. Both girls said they had no recollection of Veterans Stadium, where the Phillies played before they moved in 2004 to the new Citizens Bank Park, which has become a major destination for baseball fans, including young people such as Green and Harris.
