On the other hand, this big break made her a poster child for Hollywood nepotism and a convenient late-night punch line. "I spent so many years combating that," said the 31-year-old actress. "People want to say you can't succeed because of [who your father is]

Striking writers have decided against picketing the forthcoming Grammy Awards, but the Writers Guild of America's board of directors has yet to grant the music-industry show a waiver that would allow its members to work on the ceremony, the guild said yesterday. The guild previously had said it was unlikely to grant the Recording Academy a waiver for the Feb. 10 show, the music industry's most important event, set to be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles. But you still might want to give "Yes" a nod. In its unstagey moments, the thing boasts pretty interesting performances. Extreme fun is often made of, well, dysfunctional family indie movie conventions. And Tori is right for her role.
