Tracy Morgan's future bleak? The brain injury that comic Tracy Morgan , 45, suffered as a result of a June 7 crash with a Walmart tractor-trailer may leave him unable to work. Morgan is in a wheelchair and may not be able to walk for several months, his doctors have said. His lawyer, Benedict Morelli , tells the New York Post that Morgan has been working hard to rehab his body and mind - and has a good deal of work to do on his cognitive and linguistic faculties. AMANDA BYNES, who'd been staying out of the tabloid headlines recently, a promising signal that she was keeping her life together, was arrested in L.A. yesterday on charges of DUI. The "influence," however, was believed to be weed, according to TMZ.com. A TMZ source said she's been smoking for weeks. TMZ reported that Amanda was driving a Mercedes in the San Fernando Valley when she stopped in the middle of an intersection on Van Nuys Boulevard. For those readers who don't drive, the middle of an intersection is generally not the best place to stop.

LAST MONTH, after a tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle carrying actor Tracy Morgan and others, national attention focused - briefly - on the serious issue of fatigued truck drivers. The truck's driver, Kevin Roper, was charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of comedian James McNair, one of the vehicle's passengers, and prosecutors alleged that Roper hadn't slept in more than 24 hours. But then an initial report from the National Transportation Safety Board said that Roper had been working for 13 1/2 hours at the time of the crash, just within the legal limit of 14 hours on duty with no more than 11 hours behind the wheel.

WELL, we've learned at least one thing from the June 7 car crash that injured funny guy Tracy Morgan : There's no grass growing under his lawyers. Almost simultaneously with the news that the former "30 Rock" co-star had been released from a rehab facility to continue mending at home came word that Morgan has filed suit against Walmart, which owns the truck that hit Morgan's limo-bus as it took the comic and his entourage back to New York from a gig at Delaware's Dover Downs casino.

Tracy Morgan to rehab 30 Rock funnyman Tracy Morgan is recovering nicely from last Saturday's car crash that killed his friend and fellow comic James "Jimmy Mack" McNair . Morgan, who suffered broken legs, nose, and ribs, has been transferred from his hospital to a rehabilitation center to get his mobility back. "While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," his rep Lewis Kay said on Friday. WHAT'S a long commute to work? A half hour? An hour? Any period of time on I-95 or the Schuylkill Expressway? NTSB accident investigators are looking into what role the commute of Kevin Roper - the driver charged in the accident that injured comedian Tracy Morgan - played in the fatal crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. Wal-Mart driver Roper, who pleaded not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges yesterday, lived in Georgia. His job was based in Delaware.

Update: Tracy Morgan crash The Wal-Mart truck driver alleged to have caused Saturday's crash on the New Jersey Turnpike on Wednesday has pleaded not guilty to several felony counts, including vehicular homicide. Kevin Roper appeared with his lawyer, David Glassman , before Superior Court Judge Bradley Ferencz in New Brunswick. The driver is accused of causing the crash that killed one and left four others injured, including actor-comic Tracy Morgan . Roper is out on $50,000 bail.

Morgan's rep, Lewis Kay , said Morgan underwent surgery on his leg on Sunday. He still has the appendage.
