Cory Lidle earned his pilot's license this winter, and he actually thought about flying to yesterday's Phillies game in a small airplane. Lidle instead took the team bus and was forced to endure a 5 1/2-hour trip because of a sludge spill on I-275 in St. Petersburg. Normally, it's a 2 1/2-hour trip from Clearwater to Fort Myers. "The day started out bad and got worse," Lidle said after giving up four runs and five hits, including two home runs, in three innings of work against the Boston Red Sox. The Phillies lost, 9-4, to fall to 5-4 this spring.
